ECGC PO Eligibility Criteria 2022

Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) is one of the most prestigious organizations in the country. ECGC has released a golden opportunity for the candidates to be associated with their organization as probationary officers (PO). The last ECGC PO recruitment drive was held in 2018 which offered many candidates the opportunity to rise and shine in the government sector. ECGC PO 2022 again has released recruitment for PO and candidates need to know the detailed ECGC PO Eligibility Criteria before applying for the post. Candidates have to meet all the conditions to be eligible for the ECGC PO exam.

Candidates need to meet all the ECGC eligibility criteria to appear for the ECGC PO exam. The ECGC PO eligibility will be based on different parameters which are described in detail below:

ECGC PO Nationality Criteria 2022

ECGC eligibility is the first and foremost important step for you to qualify. The nationality of the candidate is of prior importance when seeking a job in organizations like ECGC. A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • Subject of Nepal
  • A candidate from Tibet who migrated to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India.
  • An Indian citizen who has migrated to India for permanently settling here from countries like Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),  Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

ECGC PO Age Limit Criteria 2022

According to the eligibility criteria for the ECGC age limit only unmarried male and female aspirants aged between 21 - 30 are eligible to apply. Candidates interested in applying for this exam must fall in the range mentioned below. Candidates exceeding the ECGC age limit will not be considered eligible aspirants for the exam.

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum – 30 years

i.e., A candidate must have been born not earlier than 23.03.1992 and not later than 21.03.2001 (both the dates inclusive)

ECGC PO Age Relaxation

For the Reserved category candidates, there are prescribed relaxations in the upper age limit as mentioned here. Candidates should check the table below for ECGC age relaxation for certain categories-

ECGC PO Education Qualification

The ECGC has established a minimum educational qualification for ECGC, and candidates must meet the ECGC educational qualification eligibility to be considered for the posts. Take a look at the details mentioned below for learning about the ECGC educational qualifications. Here are some important guidelines to be followed by the applicants, they must be in possession of the below-mentioned degrees. 

  • Candidate must be a graduate in any field from a recognized university in India.
  • Candidates should have the degree and related documents by 24th April 2022.
  • Students appearing in the final year are not eligible for the ECGC PO exam.
  • No specific percentage of marks to be possessed by the candidates is mentioned in the ECGC PO notification.

Note:

  • All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 24.04.2022.
  • Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 24.04.2022 has to be submitted at the time of interview. 

ECGC PO Minimum Percentage Criteria

As per the 2022 notification, minimum percentage criteria are not mentioned anywhere. But as per the notification PDF of 2018, there was a minimum of 60% criteria for graduation. It is mandatory for a student to score 60% marks in graduation from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by the Government of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory bodies.
