Do’s and Don'ts for Territorial Army (TA) 2021 Exam Paper, Know Important Guidelines

By Dhruv Kumar|Updated : September 24th, 2021

Do's & Don'ts for Territorial Army Exam: The written test is divided into two papers, according to the Territorial Army exam pattern. Paper I's first section is made up of problems from two sections: reasoning and elementary mathematics. Paper-II consists of two subjects: general knowledge and English. Each paper will take 2 hrs to complete. The total number of questions to be asked in the Territorial Army question paper is 100 and has a total score of 100.

The first step in exam preparation is to thoroughly comprehend the syllabus. Candidates cannot begin their preparation unless they are familiar with the syllabus. A similar approach is utilized for Territorial Army readiness. Candidates should thoroughly research the Territorial Army syllabus. By reviewing the syllabus, candidates can evaluate which topics are relevant and which are not. Below are some do’s and don’t’s for the TA exam that candidates can follow.

Table of Content

Do’s for Territorial Army 2021 Exam

  • Make a realistic revision schedule — planning ahead of time will allow you to prepare and cover everything you may need to know. Even if you have a shorter study window than you anticipated, planning ahead of time is preferable to not planning at all.
  • Divide the content for each subject into manageable parts- If you have a lot of various subjects or module content, mix them around so you don't spend all day studying the same thing. You will be more productive if you divide your study time.
  • After you've been studying the topic for a while, take a break and review what you've learned. Could you please explain it to someone else? Which parts are you having trouble remembering or comprehending?
  • Examine previous exam papers or view sample answers. This will assist you in comprehending the structure of the questions and how to formulate your responses.
  • Read the examiner's reports - each year, they produce a paper outlining what they want to see and what they don't want to see. You may have had to put social engagements, clubs, or sporting pursuits on hold while you concentrated on your studies. However, you should schedule a time to relax and unwind, such as watching a movie or going for a run.
  • The reasoning paper's difficulty level is average, and it might be easy at times. To answer the question, candidates must have a fundamental understanding of observation and discrimination. Maintain your score by practicing beforehand. So, when it comes to thinking, all you have to do is observe and solve.
  • The Territorial Army's math portion requires a high rate of problem-solving. This portion has a medium level of difficulty, and candidates can readily complete the problems using basic math skills.

Don’t’s for Territorial Army Exam:

  • Don’t study on your bed - If you can, get out of your room and study instead of studying on your bed.
  • Don't wait until the last minute to study - little spurts of study throughout time can help you remember more than cramming the night before.
  • If you become overwhelmed or lose track of time during the exam, remember to arrange your time for each question. Knowing how much time you should spend on each section of your exam is helpful. If you have time left over after finishing, go over your answer and add to it.
  • The total cut-off of the exam is just as important as the sectional cut-off - The contestant must achieve a higher score. So don't just be average in everything. Score as many points as you can.
  • There are no OMR sheets in the exam. Candidates must write A, B, C, and D in the space ahead of the question number to indicate their right option on the printed sheet. Maintain clarity and precision in your responses.
  • Don't get stuck on difficult questions - You might get stuck on some questions. Without spending any time, move on to the next question. If you have time after finishing the paper, go back to the difficult questions and answer them.
  • Don't go beyond your knowledge - The exam includes a negative marking system that penalizes you if you try to answer questions you don't understand or if you bet on the questions.
  • Staying up all night is not a good idea. Sleep is necessary for your brain to store the information it has acquired throughout the day. Before going to bed, go over your notes.
