BSF Educational Qualification

BSF educational qualification is the basic requirement for any candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment. The BSF eligibility criteria for education differ as per the post for which the candidates have applied. Sub-Inspector (SI Master)

A Second Class Master Certificate is given by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or the Mercantile Marine Department, and a 10+2 or it's equivalent from a recognized Board of Education or University.

Sub-Inspector (SI Engine Driver)

First Class Engine Driver Certificate provided by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department, as well as 10+2 or it's equivalent from a recognised Board or University.

Sub-Inspector (SI Workshop)

A recognized university must award both a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a three-year diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.

Constable

Matriculation from a Reputable Board, one year of experience driving a boat under 265 horsepower, ability to swim in deep water without assistance, and submission of an undertaking certificate in accordance with Annexure "D-1" along with an application form.

Head Constable RM

A high school diploma or its equivalent from a reputable board and a two-year Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation & Computer Software, General Electronics, or Data Entry Operator from a reputable Institute, or Pass the Intermediate or 12th standard or an equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as a regular student from a recognised Board, University, or Institution with an overall PCM average of 60%.

Head Constable RO

Matriculation or the equivalent from an accredited board, and a two-year Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television, General Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation & Computer Software, Info Technology & Electronics System Maintenance, Computer Hardware, Network Technician, Mechatronics, or Data Entry Operator from an accredited institution.

Constable GD

High school diploma or its equivalent from a reputable board.

BSF Medical Test
