  • Meaning
    a. deferential respect.
    b. a gesture expressing deferential respect, such as a bow or curtsy.
  • Synonyms: homage, respect, deference, obedience, reverence
  • Antonyms: disobedience, disrespect, contempt, shame

5. Word: Mantle (ढकना/दायित्व)

  • Pronunciation: man-tl/मैन्टल
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb
  • Meaning: 
    a. an important role or responsibility that passes from one person to another. [Noun]
    b. cloak or envelop. [Verb]
  • Synonyms: onus, job, conceal, hide
  • Antonyms: give insight, make public
  • Use in a Sentence: He has been asked to take on the mantle of managing director in the new office.

6. Word: Franchise (मताधिकार)

  • Pronunciation: fran-chahyz/ फ्रैन्चाइज़
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: an authorization granted by a government or company to an individual or group enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities, for example acting as an agent for a company's products.
  • Synonyms: warrant, charter, licence, permit

7. Word: Monarchy (साम्राज्य)

  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. the system of having a king or queen
  • Synonyms: kingdom, sovereignty, autocracy
  • Antonyms: democracy, republic
  • Usage in a sentence: Is monarchy relevant in the modern world or should it be abolished?

8. Word: Abdicate (त्यागना)

  • Pronunciation: ab-di-keyt/ ऐब्डकेट
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. (of a monarch) renounce one's throne.
    b. fail to fulfil or undertake (a responsibility or duty).
  • Synonyms: abandon, resign, renounce
  • Antonyms: claim, assume
  • Usage in a sentence: The king was forced to abdicate the throne.

9. Word: Scrutinise (बारीकी से देखना)

  • Pronunciationskroot-n-ahyz/ स्क्रूटनाइज़
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: examine or inspect closely and thoroughly.
  • Synonyms: examine, investigate, inspect
  • Antonyms: ignore, neglect, reject, overlook
