  • Synonyms: boast, bluster, brag, vaunt
  • Antonyms: conceal, belittle, admonish
  • Usage in a sentence: The minister has been touting these ideas for some time.

3. Word: Refoulement (बहिष्करण)

  • Pronunciation: re-ful-mahn
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. the practice of sending refugees or asylum seekers (= people trying to escape war, danger, threats, etc. in their own country) back to their country or to another country where they are likely to suffer bad treatment.
  • Synonyms: return, refund, discharge, forced return, expulsion
  • Antonyms: admission, non-refoulement, refuge

4. Word: Sequester (अलग होना)

  • Pronunciation: si-kwes-ter/ सिक्वेस्टर

  • Meaning
    a. isolate or hide away. (Verb)
    b. a general cut in government spending. (Noun)
  • Synonyms: isolate, separate, segregate

  • Synonyms: clear, unambiguous, unmistakable, indisputable, incontrovertible

7. Word: Backlash (प्रतिक्षेप)

  • Meaning: a strong negative reaction by a large number of people, especially to social or political development.
