  • Antonyms: loyalty, commitment
  • Usage in a sentence: Recent changes in policy have resulted in large-scale defection from the party.

  • Pronunciation: kuh n-seed/कन्सीड
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: admit or agree that something is true after first denying or resisting it.
  • Synonyms: approved, permitted, allowed
  • Antonyms: confronted, acquired, prohibited
  • Use in a Sentence: The hockey team conceded two goals in the first three minutes of the game.

4. Word: Churn (मन्थन करना)

  • Meaning:
    a. (with reference to liquid) move or cause to move about vigorously.
    b. break up the surface of (an area of ground).
  • Synonyms: shake, stir, swirl, agitate

5. Word: Alliance (गठबंधन)

  • Pronunciation: uh-lahy-uhns/ अलाइअन्स
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. a formal agreement or treaty between two or more nations to cooperate for specific purposes.
    b. a merging of efforts or interests by persons, families, states, or organizations:
  • Synonyms: union, association, coalition
  • Antonyms: isolation, separation, enmity
  • Usage in a sentence: An alliance between church and state was a much needed respite after protests.

6. Word: Turmoil (खलबली)

  • Pronunciation: tur-moil/टर्मॉइल
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: a state of great disturbance, confusion, or uncertainty.      
  • Synonyms: disorder, clutter, chaos, mess
  • Antonyms: calm, peace, structure
  • Use in a Sentence: His mind was in a state of constant turmoil.

7. Word: Triggered (शुरू हो रहा)

  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning - (of a mechanism) activated by a trigger
  • Synonyms - produce, generate
  • Antonyms - destroy, prevent
  • Example - triggered alarm.

8. Word: Sabotage (तोड़-फोड़ करना)

  • Pronunciation: sab-uh-tahzh/सैबटाश़
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to injure or attack by sabotage (verb)
    b. any undermining of a cause (Noun)
  • Synonyms: wreck, destroy, undermine
  • Antonyms: fix, help, endorse
  • Usage in a sentence: The rebels had tried to sabotage the oil pipeline.

9. Word: Fidelity (ईमानदारी)

  • Pronunciation: fi-del-i-tee/फिडेलिटी
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. honest or lasting support, or loyalty, especially to a partner
    b. the degree to which the detail and quality of an original, such as a picture, sound, or story, is copied exactly
  • Synonyms: faithfulness, loyalty, allegiance
  • Antonyms: treachery, faithlessness
  • Usage in a sentence: The best ink-jet printers can reproduce photographs with amazing fidelity.

10. Word: Demeanour (आचरण)

  • Pronunciation: dih-mee-ner/ डिमीनर
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: outward behaviour or bearing.
  • Synonyms: manner, air, attitude, appearance, conduct
  • Antonyms: deter, indecency, annihilation, indisposition
  • Usage in a Sentence: While not exactly threatening, her demeanour was hard and off-putting.
