  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. the state of being confined in prison; imprisonment.
  • Synonyms: detention, restraint, punishment, imprisonment
  • Antonyms: freedom, liberty, redemption
  • Usage in a sentence: There have been angry protests about his arrest and incarceration.

4.  Word: Hasty (अविचारी)

  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning
    a. done with excessive speed or urgency; hurried.
    b. acting with excessive speed or insufficient consideration.
  • Synonyms: quick, hurried, rash, reckless, rushed
  • Antonyms: slow, sluggish, tardy, cautious
  • Usage in a Sentence: Seeing the dog, the cat made a hasty retreat up a tree.

5. Word: Verdict (विचार-फल)

  • Pronunciation: vur-dikt/वर्डिक्ट
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: 
    a. a decision on an issue of fact in a civil or criminal case or an inquest.
    b. an opinion or judgement.
  • Synonyms:  decision, resolution, pronouncement, conclusion
  • Antonyms: accusation, inception, prelude
  • Usage in a Sentence: The board returned a unanimous guilty verdict.

6. Word - Mooted (विचार करना)

  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: raised (a question or topic) for discussion; suggested (an idea or possibility).
  • Pronunciation: मूटिड
  • Synonyms: debated, discussed, argued
  • Antonyms: taken
  • Use in a Sentence: It's a moot point whether Rohan or Sohan is better player.

7. Word: Glaring (भड़कीला, अतिस्पष्ट)

  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning:
    a. giving out or reflecting a strong or dazzling light.
    b. staring fiercely or fixedly.
  • Pronunciation: glair-ing/ग्लेरिंग
  • Synonyms: flagrant, obvious
  • Antonyms: dim, obscure
  • Use in a Sentence: The report contained some glaring errors.

8. Word: Potent (प्रभावकारी)

  • Pronunciation: poht-nt/पोटन्ट
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning: 
    a. having great power, influence, or effect.
  • Synonyms: powerful, influential
  • Antonyms: weak, incapable
  • Use in a Sentence: The medicine had a potent effect on your disease.

9. Word: Indiscriminate (अंधाधुंध, अभेदकर)

  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning
    a. done at random or without careful judgement.
    b. (of a person) not using or exercising discrimination.

10. Word: Regime (शासन)

  • Meaning: 
    a. a government, especially an authoritarian one
    b. a system or ordered way of doing things.
  • Synonyms: administration, jurisdiction
  • Antonyms: disorder, confusion
