1. Harsha Bhupendra Bangari appointed as MD of EXIM Bank
- Harsha Bhupendra Bangari has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank).
- Prior to this, she was posted as deputy managing director at EXIM Bank.
- She has been appointed for a period of three years or until further orders of the government.
- She will replace incumbent MD David Rasquinha, who was holding the office of MD since July 20, 2014.
- Headquarters of EXIM Bank: Mumbai.

- International Literacy Day is observed on September 8 annually across the world to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies.
- The day was declared by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 during 14th session of UNESCO’s General conference.

4. Piyush Goyal appointed as India’s Sherpa for G20
- Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the India’s Sherpa for the G20 which is an influential grouping that brings together the world’s major economies.
- He replaced former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu as India’s Sherpa for G20
- G20 Summit is scheduled to take place from 30th to 31st October under Italian Presidency.
- India will be holding the G20 Presidency from 1st December 2022 and will convene the G20 Leaders’ Summit in 2023 for the first time.

5. Govt launches portal for National Livestock Mission
- Union Minister Parshottam Rupala has launched National Livestock Mission (NLM) portal to increase effectiveness and ensure transparency in the implementation of scheme
- NLM Portal:
- It is developed by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Dept of Animal Husbandry and Dairying
- Aim: to enable a customized workflow between State Implementing Agency, lenders and Ministry
- NLM: It was introduced in 2014-15 for sustainable development of livestock sector

- It provided an opportunity for enhancing mutual understanding and deepening of relationships among participating nations.

7. TRIFED to setup Atmanirbhar Corner in 75 missions around the world
- Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs is setting up an Atmanirbhar Bharat corner in 75 Indian Missions/ Embassies across the world in the next 3 months
- First Atma Nirbhar Bharat corner was successfully inaugurated at Indian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand on Aug 15, 2021
- Aim: It will be an exclusive space to promote GI-tagged tribal art and craft products besides natural organic products

8. Culture Minister launches Bujurgon ki Baat-Desh Ke Saath programme
- Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy has launched Bujurgon ki Baat-Desh Ke Saath programme in New Delhi
- Aim: Enhancing the interaction between the youth and elder people who are 95 years and above and have spent around 18 years in India before independence
- The video of the programme will be uploaded at rashtragaan.in
- He also launched the book Gita Govinda :Jaydeva’s Divine Odyssey by Dr.Utpal K. Banerjee, along with an exhibition on Gita Govinda.

9. Task Force and Expert Committee for Coal based Hydrogen Production
- Ministry of Coal has constituted Task Force and Expert Committee to Prepare Road Map for Coal based Hydrogen Production.
- This Task Force will be headed by Additional Secretary of Coal Ministry.
- Its broad terms and reference include identification of role to be played by each stakeholder Ministry, monitoring of activities towards achieving coal-based Hydrogen production
- Expert Committee will be headed by DG of Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry, R.K. Malhotra.

10. CBDT amends IT Rules to ease authentication of electronic records
- Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has amended Income-tax Rules to ease authentication of electronic records submitted in faceless assessment proceedings
- Under this, electronic records submitted through registered account of taxpayers shall be deemed to have been authenticated by e-verification code by the taxpayer
- It will ease the process of authentication of electronic records in faceless assessment proceedings to companies, individuals and tax audit cases.

11. Gujarat govt signs MoU with Amazon India to boost export of MSME sector
- Gujarat Govt has signed MoU with Amazon India to boost the export of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector for taking the local products of Gujarat to global markets
- It will facilitate training sessions, webinars and workshops in Business-to-Commerce (B2C) e-commerce at MSME clusters in cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bharuch, Rajkot
- It will also open up the link with Amazon’s digital market operational in 17 countries like USA, Canada, Brazil.

- First India–Japan High Level Policy Dialogue has been held virtually with discussion on issues like Air Pollution, Sustainable Technologies and Transports, Climate Change, Marine Litter, Fluorocarbons, COP 26, etc
- Both nations agreed to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation on environment, and also to take forward the discussion on JCM
- India and Japan may also explore strengthening bilateral cooperation especially on circular economy, green hydrogen, etc.

13. IPPB ties-up with LIC Housing Finance for home loan products
- India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has signed MoU with LIC Housing Finance Ltd for providing home loan products to over 4.5 crore customers of IPPB.
- Through its robust extensive network of 650 branches and more than 136,000 banking access points, IPPB will make LICHFL’s home loan products accessible to its customers pan-India.
- Under the MoU, credit underwriting, processing, and disbursement for all home loans will be handled by LICHFL with IPPB responsible for sourcing.

14. Delhi Airport won CII National Energy Leader award
- Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has won CII ‘National Energy Leader’ and ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ awards at National Award ceremony for ‘Excellence in Energy Management’
- The ceremony has been organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Green Business Centre (GBC) during 22nd edition of ‘Energy Efficiency Summit’
