The gross collection of GST has touched an all-time high of over 1,42,095 cr in March 2022.

In March 2022, revenues from the import of goods were 25% higher, and the revenues from the domestic transaction were 11% higher than in the same month last year.
GST day is observed on 1 July every year.

The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has signed a deal to set up an Indian Economic Zone with the Adani Ports and SEZ Limited.
The Indian Economic Zone (IEZ) will be set up at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN) in Mirsarai of Chattogram.
Aim: Facilities for Indian investors in Bangladesh
In 2015, Bangladesh signed an MoU with India to establish an Indian economic zone.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) report, the new covid variant XE was first detected in the United Kingdom in January 2022.
This variant is more transmissible than any strain of COVID-19.
Xe is a recombinant variant of BA'1 and BA.2 Omicron strains; recombinant variant refers to when a patient is infected from multiple variants of Covid.

India's Aprajita Sharma has been appointed as a vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee on Administration and Management of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
She holds the position of vice-chairperson for the years 2023 and 2024.
She is also selected as chairperson for the years 2025 and 2026.
ITU is the specialized agency of the United Nations for information and communication.

Uttar Pradesh has become the largest producer of vegetables in India, followed by West Bengal, Bihar, and Maharashtra in 2021–22 Crop Year (CY) (July–June).
