This is the 21st title of his career.
He defeated Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who placed in the second position.

Malta PM Robert Abela won the general election; he took Malta's helm in January 2020.
Member of the Labour party PM Robert Abela will take oath for the second time.
Labour Party has won 55.11% of the total vote against the Nationalist Party's 41.7%.
This is the Labour Party's third consecutive general election win since 2013.
President George Vella will be administered the oath to Robert Abela.

Honours & Awards

Actress Deepika Padukone has been honoured at the TIME100 Impact Awards.
She was featured on the list for her work in the mental health space.
Deepika is also the founder of the LiveLoveLaugh Foundation, which helps to create awareness about mental health.
The award ceremony was held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
She also got on the list of one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018 by TIME

National & International Appointments

The Governing Body of International Labour Organisation (ILO) has elected Gilbert F. Houngbo as the Organization’s 11th Director-General and the first African; he will take office in October 2022 for five years.
He is a former Prime Minister of Togo.
Presently, he is President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The current Director-General of ILO, Guy Ryder, from the United Kingdom, has held office since 2012.

National & International Appointments

Chief Executive Officer of IPG Mediabrands India, Shashi Sinha, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India.
Sinha also worked with the Advertising Agencies Association of India.
He succeeds MD & CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Punit Goenka, who successfully served as the Chairman for the last three years.
Mumbai based company Broadcast Audience Research Council was incorporated in 2010

Agreement

Rs 473 crore deal was signed between the Ministry of Defence and Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) to construct eight Fast Patrol Vessels for the Indian Coast Guard.
The deal was signed by Joint Secretary (Maritime & Systems) Dinesh Kumar and Chairman and MD, GSL Commodore BB Nagpal (Retd) in New Delhi.
These patrol vessels will be designed, developed, and manufactured by GSL under Buy (Indian-IDDM) category.
This deal would boost the indigenous shipbuilding capability.

Defense

The largest-ever military drill, 'Balikatan 2022,' began between the United States military and the military of the Philippines.
This exercise takes place across Luzon in the Philippines region near Taiwan from March 28 to April 8, 2022
The drills will focus on amphibious operations, maritime security, urban operations, live-fire training, aviation operations, counterterrorism, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

11th edition of Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2022 started at Arts College Ground Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh.
The second leg of the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2022 event was held in Warangal, was inaugurated by the Telangana governor, Tamilisai Soundararajan.
The third leg of this Mahotsav will be held in Hyderabad from 1st to 3rd April.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has set up the Ink Manufacturing Unit named, Varnika under Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of RBI in Mysuru.
Varnika has an annual ink manufacturing capacity of 1,500 MT, which helps to enhance the security of banknotes.
This unit also manufactures Colour Shift Intaglio Ink (CSII)
This will help to boost the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
