3. Mahatma Gandhi Green Triangle inaugurated in Madagascar
- As part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebration, a “Green Triangle” named after Mahatma Gandhi, was inaugurated in Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar.
- The Mahatma Gandhi Green Triangle was jointly inaugurated by India’s Ambassador to Madagascar Abhay Kumar and Mayor of Antananarivo, Naina Andriantsitohaina.
- The naming of this park as Mahatma Gandhi Green Triangle is an apt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

4. India restores e-tourist visas that remained suspended since March 2020
- MHA has restored all valid 5-year e-tourist visas to nationals of 156 countries with immediate effect, suspended since March 2020 due to Covid pandemic
- These counties will also be eligible for the issuance of fresh e-Tourist visas
- The Ministry has also restored valid regular (paper)long-duration 10 years tourist visas for US and Japanese nationals
- It will not be applicable to Afghanistan nationals who will continue to be governed by an e-Emergency X-Miscellaneous Visa

5. Global Recycling Day 2022: 18th March
- The Global Recycling Day is observed every year on the 18th of March to recognise the importance of recycling as a resource, not waste.
- Theme - 2022: “recycling fraternity”.
- The theme recognises the people who put themselves on the frontline to collect waste and recycle during the multiple lockdowns.
- The Global Recycling Day was created in 2018 by the London-based Global Recycling Foundation to promote the concept and practice of recycling.

6. Co-branded credit cards with Emirates Skywards launched by ICICI Bank
- ICICI Bank has launched ‘Emirates Skywards ICICI Bank Credit Card’ in partnership with Emirates Skywards, the loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai.
- The bouquet of cards allows the customers to earn reward points – called Skywards Miles – on travel, lifestyle and everyday spending.
- ICICI Bank is the first Indian bank to partner with Emirates Skywards to offer the exclusive range of credit cards in the country.

7. RBI unveils harmonised framework for microfinance lenders
- The Reserve Bank of India has released the framework for Microfinance Loans
- Important Point:
- It is defined as a collateral-free loan given to a household - Annual household income- up to Rs. 3,00,000
- Instead, it has focused on borrowers’ repayment capacity and accordingly capped the fixed obligation to income ratio (FOIR) at 50 per cent
- The min and max requirements of microfinance loans for NBFC-MFIs have been revised to 75% and max 25% respectively of the total assets

8. World Happiness Report 2022: Finland tops list again
- Finland topped the list for the fifth time in a row, according to the 10th edition of the World Happiness Report.
- India has improved its rank by three spots to acquire 136th position (last year-146) in the United Nations’ World Happiness Report for the year 2022.

9. NPCI set to launch UPI Lite for small value transactions in offline mode
- National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has designed the 'UPI Lite – On-Device wallet' (UPI Lite) functionality for UPI user for small value transactions
- About 75% of the total volume of retail transactions (including cash) in India are below Rs100 transaction value
- Further, 50% of the total UPI transactions are having a transaction value of up to Rs.200
- In phase 1,UPI Lite will process transactions in complete offline mode i.e. debit and credit both offline

10. Rajnath sigh inaugurates Flight Control System Integration complex in Benga
- Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated a seven-storeyed Flight Control System (FCS) Integration facility at Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), a laboratory of DRDO in Bengaluru.
- The state-of-the-art complex has been constructed in record 45 days, with in-house hybrid technology consisting of conventional, pre-engineered and precast methodology.
- The technology has been developed by DRDO with the help of M/s Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
