We are pleased to launch a new initiative i.e. Editorial Analysis for Law Entrance Exams. Here, we will be providing some interesting articles along with their summaries. This will help you in understanding the articles in a better way.

Aim of this reading exercise

  • The aim of this exercise is to develop your Grammar, Vocabulary, and learn the contextual usage of various words

  • Along with these, the exercise also develops your stamina and comprehension ability.

  • Regular reading helps you subconsciously, in developing the instinct to pick out the grammatically and contextually correct sentences, from the other close options.

Over the years, the importance of good comprehension skills for Law Entrance exams has increased. For instance, CLAT 2020 took a complete U-turn and focused primarily on testing the comprehension skills of the aspirants, which CLAT 2021 followed as well. Since RCs form the crux of a wide array of Law Entrance exams as well, it is imperative to have strong comprehension skills.

This free series is meant to bolster your reading skills, while also brushing up your vocabulary and general awareness as well. The motive behind this series is to get the aspirants accustomed to reading so that they don't face reading blues in the exams.

The first article, titled "Cuba after the Castros" is published in The Hindu. It takes into account the retirement of Raul Castro as the first secretary of Cuba's ruling communist party as the author explores various aspects of the issue while also highlighting the challenges that lie ahead of Castro's successor.

On the other hand, the second article titled "Stop spreader rallies: Give us COVID safe polls through the foreseeable future" is published in The Times of India. It highlights the rise in COVID-19 cases in the wake of elections in states such as Bengal, Tamil Nadu as the author urges for a change in our political setup in order to provide COVID safe polls till the time the pandemic subsides.

Now, your job is to read the articles first and then move on to the summaries for a better understanding of the context. Also, please tell us about your thoughts in the comment section down below.

Until then, happy reading!
