2. India, Nepal sign and exchange six MoU and Agreements
- Nepal and India have signed six MoU, during Prime Minister Modi's day-long visit to Lumbini (Nepal).
- They include an MoU between the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Lumbini Buddhist University on the establishment of Dr. Ambedkar Chair for Buddhist Studies.
- An MoU between ICCR and Kathmandu University on the establishment of the ICCR Chair of Indian Studies.
- An Agreement between SJVN Ltd and Nepal Electricity Authority was also signed.

3. 52nd tiger reserve of India: Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan
- Bhupender Yadav (Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change) has announced that Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan has been notified as the 52nd Tiger Reserve of India.
- It will help to conserve biodiversity and bring ecotourism and development to the area.
- The newly notified tiger reserve includes the tiger habitat between Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve.

4. Novak defeats Stefanos Tsitsipas to win Italian Open
- World No.1 Novak Djokovic (Serbian) has defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas to capture the 38th ATP Masters 1000 crown (Italian Open).
- Novak Djokovic became the fifth man in the Open Era to earn 1,000 match wins after defeating Casper Ruud in the semi-finals.
- In Woman Single, Iga Swiatek has won the Italian Open title after defeating Ons Jabeur.

5. Anna Qabale Duba crowned as world’s best nurse
- Anna Qabale Duba (Kenyan nurse) who worked at the Marsabit County Referral Hospital has won the inaugural Aster Guardian Global Nursing Award.
- She was promoting education and campaigning against outdated cultural practices like Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in her community.
- She has been rewarded with USD 250,000 (approx. Ksh.29 million) in prize money.

6. World's Longest Suspension Bridge opens in Czech Republic
- The world's largest suspension bridge in the Czech Republic named 'Sky Bridge 721' has been officially opened for tourists.
- The bridge connects two mountain ridges and hangs 95 metres (312 feet) above a valley and can be accessed by cable car.
- It is 721 metres, or 2,365 feet, long.
- The Czech Republic Sky Bridge is 154 metres longer than Nepal's Baglung Parbat Footbridge, which currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest suspension footbridge.

7. Axis Bank and SpiceJet launch co-branded credit card
- SpiceJet and Axis Bank have partnered to launch the most rewarding co-branded credit card which is powered by Visa that will offer a host of privileges and benefits to customers.
- The card comes in two variants: SpiceJet Axis Bank Voyage and Voyage Black
- Aim: Facilitating a superlative travel experience for flyers through SpiceClub.
- The special credit card livery has been unveiled on SpiceJet’s Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

8. PAN, Aadhaar mandatory for cash deposits or withdrawals above ₹20 lakh
- The government of India has made PAN or Aadhar mandatory from May 26 in case cash deposits and withdrawals in a financial year exceed ₹20 lakh.
- A notification was issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
- PAN and Aadhar are also mandatory for the opening of a current account or cash credit account by a person with a banking company.
- There is also a requirement for quoting PAN on bank deposits of over ₹50,000 made in one day.

9. Eminent Sanskrit and Hindi Scholar Dr Rama Kant Shukla dies
- An eminent Sanskrit and Hindi Scholar, Padma Shri awardee (2013) Dr Rama Kant Shukla has passed away in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
- He is the founder and general secretary of Devavani Parishad in Delhi, and the founding chairman and editor of “Arvacinasamskrtam” (quarterly journal) in Sanskrit.
- He was conferred the titles of Sanskrit Rashtrakavi, Kaviratna, and Kavi Siromani by literary and Sanskrit organizations.
