2. Reasoning Ability Exam Analysis of RBI Assistant Prelims 2017

35 Questions were asked in this section. The overall level of this section was Moderate. Questions from following topics were asked in this section:

• Puzzles & Seating Arrangement
  (a) 10 Questions, i.e 2 sets of puzzles & arrangement questions were asked.
  (b) One was a Floor based puzzle. 
  (c) The other was a Linear puzzle in which 8 people were sitting in a row, 6 facing north and 2 facing south. 
• Syllogism
  (a) 5 Questions were asked from this topic. 
  (b) Questions were direct and easily doable. 
• Coding-Decoding
  (a) 5 Questions were asked from Coding questions. 
  (b) The Questions were based on normal sentence coding, where the codes of 4 words were given in different lines. 
• Alphanumeric Series & Numeric Series
  (a) 10 Questions were asked from this topic. 
• Miscellaneous Questions
  (a) Remaining 5 Questions of this section were asked from miscellaneous topics like Direction, Blood relation etc. 

3. Numerical Ability Exam Analysis of RBI Assistant Prelims 2017

This section comprised of total 35 questions. The overall level of this section was Moderate to Difficult. Following topics were asked in this section:

• Number Series
  (a) 5 Questions were asked from this topic. 
  (b) Questions were asked from missing Number Series. 
• Simplification/ Approximation
  (a) 10 Questions were asked from this topic. 
  (b) Questions were based on basic BODMAS rules. 
• Data Interpretation
  (a) 1 set of DI, i.e. 5 Questions were asked from this topic. 
  (b) A tabular DI was asked, based on the data of the students of 4 different schools, for different years. 
  (c) Questions were based on basic calculations like Ratios, Averages, Difference etc. 
• Miscellaneous Questions
  (a) 15 Questions were asked from Miscellaneous Arithmetic Questions. 
  (b) Questions were asked from topics like Averages, Age-based problems, profit & loss, partnerships, speed time & distance, simple & compound interest, percentages etc. 
  (c) Questions from the arithmetic topics were slightly calculative and time-consuming.
