  • Danyang- Kunshan Bridge in China

The bridge that takes the number one spot in the list of longest bridges in Asia is the Danyang-Kunshan Grand bridge connecting Nanjing and Shanghai. The bridge covers a length of 165 kilometres. It runs parallel to the Yangtze river and took four years to finish the construction. It was ready for use in 2010. The bridge is registered as the longest bridge in the world by the Guinness World Record. 

  • Changhua-Kaohsiung Viaduct in Taiwan

The second-longest bridge is the Changhua-Kaohsiung Viaduct in Taiwan. It spans around 157 kilometres. It acts as a railway viaduct for the Taiwan High-Speed Railway network and is designed to be earthquake resistant. The bridge was completed in 2007 and runs from Taipei to Kaohsiung. 

  • Cangde Grand Bridge in China

Cangde Grand bridge is 115.9 kilometres and is supported by 3,092 piers. The bridge was completed in 2010 and is a division of the Beijing- Shanghai High-Speed Rail line. 

  • Tianjin Grand Bridge in China

Tianjin Grand Bridge is the fourth-longest bridge with 113.7 kilometres in length and is located in China. The bridge acts as a viaduct for a high-speed railway between Shanghai and Beijing. The viaduct was designed in sections and installed at different times. The bridge was constructed with an investment of $20 billion.

  • Weinan Weihe Bridge in China

The Weinan Weihe Bridge is also in China. This bridge was completed in 2008 and is part of the Zhengzhou-Xian Rail line, connecting Zhengzhou and Xian. It is a 79 kilometres long bridge that crosses over Ling river, Xi river, Wei river, Luofu river, and Shi Di river.
