Mount Everest is the highest mountain peak worldwide, situated on the Nepal and Tibet border. Located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas, this mountain range spans 8848m (29,029 ft.) above sea level. Also, note that Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa were the first mountaineers who climbed this mountain peak in May 1953.
Mount K2 is the second-highest mountain range that sprawls in the famous Karakoram Range of the Himalayas. Also known as Kanchanjunga, Mount K2 is one of the most challenging mountain peaks to ascend.
Mount Kanchenjunga holds the position of the third-largest mountain peak globally, holding an altitude of 8586 meters. Situated in the Taplejung District, Nepal, Sikkim, India, this mountain peak is listed in the UNESCO world heritage site for its famous treks.
Mount Lhotse is another stunning mountain peak in Nepal that ranges from 8511 meters. Given its dangerous and rocky route, it is considered one of the most deadly mountain peaks in the world.
Mount Makalu is another stunning mountain range in Nepal, holding an altitude of 8463 meters. This mountain range lies on the famous Mahalangur range and remains situated around 19km southeast of Mount Everest. Due to its steep pitches and sharp edges, this mountain peak is quite challenging to climb.
Mount Cho Oyu is another mountain range in Nepal that remains situated in the Himalayas range and is the sixth highest mountain peak in the world at an altitude of 8201m meters. This mountain range lies on the China and Nepal border near Mount Everest.
This mount, Dhaulagiri, is the seventh-largest mountain peak in the world, situated in the north of central Nepal with an elevation of 8167 meters.
Mount Manaslu comes at the eighth position in this list of the highest mountain peaks in the world. Extending at the length of 8163 meters, this mountain range remains encircled by a rock-hard glaze, which encircles an extensive area at the base of the Himalayan mountain, which is one of the most compelling things to visit.
Situated on the southern side of the Indus River in Gilgit Baltistan, Nanga Parbat is another name in the list of the highest mountains in the world. The elevation of this mountain peak is 8125 meters and known as the killer mountain as numerous climbers died while climbing the mountain range.
