Updated on: September 11th, 2023

CUET Full Form is Common Universities Entrance Test. This exam brought a major change in the way admissions to central universities were done. It eliminates the tyranny of high cut-offs in universities like Delhi University, IPU CET, etc., and brings parity in the admission procedure. It unblocks the gates for unprivileged students from less recognized boards that don’t provide lenient marks.

Common Universities Entrance Test (or CUET) is the new nomenclature for the test as per the recent changes by National Testing Agency (NTA) officials. The exam will be a one-stop solution to get admission to the central and other famous universities. Apart from knowing the CUET full form, candidates should also check the list of CUET Colleges, which will help them know the exam’s nature.

CUET Full Form

CUET stands for the Common Universities Entrance Test and is introduced by the University Grants Commission for admission in the various central universities and colleges. National Testing Agency has been entrusted with conducting the Undergraduate entrance tests for all the central, state, and other universities.

CUET exam will provide a single-window opportunity for students to seek admission to any of the central and other universities across the country. The CUET (UG) will be conducted in the form of a Computer Based Test (CBT). Following the CUET, each university will admit students based on a merit list prepared by NTA, and there will be no common counselling.
