The paper on English has been divided into two sections: English Language and Pedagogy of Language.
CTET English Syllabus
CTET English Language 1 Syllabus
Reading unseen passages either prose or drama and one the poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar, and verbal ability (Prose passage may be literary, scientific, narrative, or discursive)
CTET English Language 2 Syllabus
Two unseen prose passages (discursive or literary or narrative or scientific) with the question of comprehension, grammar, and verbal ability

Tips on How to Score Well in the English Section:
- Revise the previous year's paper as much as you can, this will give you an exact idea of the paper pattern and the level of questions.
- Plan the way you will attempt the paper i.e. make a strategy of attempting the paper and sticking to it in the exam hall.
- In the Examination, the hall makes strategy according to your preparation. Take that section that is your strength & less time taking.
- Solve Mock tests as much as possible.
- You should be positive and have faith in yourself. There is no guarantee that you will pass any exam on the first attempt, though there is no reason to assume you will fail.
- Pay attention to time during solving questions. By rigorous practice, one can solve the question paper quickly and with complete accuracy.
