Numerous types of water conservation techniques are available in the country. Scientists constantly innovate in terms of new techniques, but they are not effectively applied. Due to lack of proper operation and maintenance in the irrigation, industry and domestic water distribution system, there is huge loss of water. For traditional water conservation methods need to be judiciously adopted in conjunction with the latest modern conservation technology. Keeping this on view, rain water harvesting, revival of traditional water storages, check dams and other similar structures need to be adopted. Building byelaws should be suitably modified to introduce mandatory roof top rain water harvesting. In order to conserve precious fresh water, recycling of waste water may be incorporated wherever feasible. Dual water supply system, one for treated wastewater and the other for fresh water may be introduced so that treated waste water can be used for secondary purposes such as toilet flushing, gardening etc.
Cropping pattern and water requirement for crops varies from time to time due to dynamic socio-economic condition of the people and the region in addition to geo-morphological, climatic and metrological changes. Hence, for effective management, appropriate base line data for water demand under different situations needs to be brought out for optimum crop water management and field activities considering effective rainfall in different physiological stages. Night irrigation practice may be introduced to minimize evaporation loss thus conserving irrigation water. Timely and need based irrigation should be done to minimize loss of water. Further, for boosting productivity, rotational cropping pattern may be introduced for balancing fertility of soil and natural pest control.

मनुष्य एक सामाजिक प्राणी है। किसी समाज के निर्माण में अनुशासन की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होती है। अनुशासन ही मनुष्य को श्रेष्ठता प्रदान करता है तथा उसे समाज में उत्तम स्थान दिलाने में सहायता करता है। परन्तु कई लोग समझते है कि अनुशासन और स्वतंत्रता में विरोध है, किन्तु वास्तव में यह भ्रम है। अनुशासन के द्वारा स्वतंत्रता छिन नहीं जाती, बल्कि दूसरों की स्वतंत्रता की रक्षा होती है। सड़क पर चलने के लिए हम लोग स्वतंत्र है,परन्तु हमें बायीं तरफ से चलना चाहिए किन्तु चाहें तो हम बीच में भी चल सकते है। इससे हम अपने ही प्राण संकट में डालते है, दूसरों की स्वतंत्रता भी छीनते है। विधार्थी भारत के भावी निर्माता है।विद्यार्थी जीवन में तो अनुशासन उपयोगिता और भी बढ़ जाती है क्योंकि यह वह समय होता है जब उसके व्यक्तित्व का निर्माण प्रांरभ होता है। विद्यार्थी जीवन में तो इसकी उपयोगिता और भी बढ़ जाती है क्योंकि यह वह समय होता है जब उसके व्यक्तित्व का निर्माण प्रांरभ होता है। उन्हें अनुशासन के गुणों का अभ्यास अभी से करना चाहिए, जिससे वे भारत के सच्चे सपूत कहला सकें।

छात्र की सहायता करना अत्यावश्यक है कि उसका मन वैज्ञानिक, स्पष्ट, निश्चित और सूक्ष्मता से सोचने वाला तथा उसके साथ ही साथ मन की गहराइयों को अनावृत करने वाला हो । क्या छात्र को इस प्रकार शिक्षित करना संभव है कि वह सभी लेबिलों के परे जो कर सके तथा उस वस्तु का पता लगा सके, उसका अनुभव कर सके, जिसको मन नहीं माप सकता, जो किसी पुस्तक में नहीं लिखा है । यदि इस प्रकार के एक विद्यालय में ऐसी शिक्षा संभव हो सके तो वह अनूठी होगी । आप सभी को यह देखना चाहिए कि इस प्रकार के विद्यालय का निर्माण कितना मूल्यवान् होगा । केवल नृत्य, संगीत, गणित और दूसरे पाठों पर ध्यान देना ही समस्त जीवन नहीं है । शांत बैठना तथा अपने को देखना, सूक्ष्म दृष्टि प्राप्त करना, अवलोकन करना भी जीवन का अंग है । विचार कैसे किया जाए, किस पर विचार किया जाए तथा आप विचार क्यों कर रहे हैं, इसको देखना भी आवश्यक है।
