CSIR NET Exam guidelines: The CSIR NET Exam 2023, conducted by the National Testing Agency, is scheduled to take place from 6th June to 8th June 2023 in two shifts. Exam Day Guidelines for the CSIR NET 2023

The National Testing Agency has released a few instructions and rules that candidates should follow on exam day. The CSIR NET 2023 is considered a big exam for the Junior Research Fellowship or Lectureship selection, and any minor hindrance can ruin your hard work in seconds. The rules for the CSIR NET cannot be avoided as it is a big part of the exam process. The rules that the candidates need to follow are mentioned below-

Things that Should Be Avoided Carrying

  • Mobile Phones
  • Smart Watches
  • Laptop
  • Hand Accessories
  • Paper, books, and other things that could be suspicious
  • Calculators

Things to Carry in The Examination Hall

  • Printout of the Admit Card with The Original on In the Case.
  • If any – Legal name change, Marriage documents, Divorce Certificate
  • If applicable, a PWD certificate
  • Passport size photograph
  • ID proof that is original, such as School ID, Passport, Bank passbook with your photograph, Ration Card, or Aadhar Card.

Things Need to Avoid on CSIR NET Exam Day for Better Time Management

Candidates need to focus on some points before appearing in the final examination. Following are the things that need to be avoided on the Exam day to attempt a stress-free examination:

Don’t Be Late

Please arrive at least 90 minutes before starting the exam as the official document states that Late arrivals are not allowed. If your CSIR NET 2023 test center is located in another city, you must be there for a day to get to the exam to get a feel for the location and other amenities.

Bring Important Documents

Gather all the essential documents such as CSIR NET admit card, passport photo, and all other required documents one night before the exam so that it is not a problem on the day of the CSIR NET 2023 exam. Print an additional hard copy of the CSIR NET 2023 entrance ticket to avoid discrepancies.

Wearing COVID-19 Essentials

The NTA has listed what should be included with the CSIR NET 2023 Hall Ticket as COVID-19 essentials to reduce the risk of a coronavirus pandemic. Gather all the supplies such as a mask, gloves, a bottle of clear water, personal hand sanitizer, and social distancing rules.

Try Easy Questions First

You can save time by solving the simple questions first. Don’t get carried away with complicated questions. Choose Quality over quantity when trying questions.

Do Not Read All Questions At Once

It is essential to carefully read the CSIR NET Question Paper to understand exactly which question needs to be attempted and what solution needs to be written for the asked question. Do not read the CSIR NET 2023 questions all at once, which can cause stress if you find it difficult.

CSIR UGC NET exam paper carries negative markings for each wrong answer per the guidelines. So try to avoid guesswork and attempt the questions with more accuracy. It will increase your selection chances. Candidates try to increase the number of attempts by selecting answers with guesswork, leading to them losing their marks from the correct answer. 

CSIR NET 2023: Do’s and Don’ts For the Exam Day

Sometimes the candidates can get confused and panicked in the exam situation and do things that they shouldn’t give their exam without any problems. Here are some suggestions for Dos and Don’ts for the CSIR NET exam you can consider while getting into the examination hall.

Do’s for the CSIR NET 2023

  • Always remember to bring your Id Proof with the admit card
  • Reach before the mentioned time to check your allotted seats and admit card
  • Make sure to check your admit card with the details mentioned on the computer twice in case it has any problem 
  • Sit on your allotted seat
  • Make sure to read all the instructions mentioned on the admit card
  • Submit any suspicious items you find inside the examination hall.

Don’ts for CSIR NET 2023

  • Don’t reach the exam center later than the mentioned time
  • Don’t hurry in checking your allotted seats
  • Don’t carry Suspicious items
  • Carrying eatable items inside the examination hall is not allowed except for candidates with diabetes.
  • Malpractices will create more significant problems than solving small ones
  • Carrying bags inside is not allowed.

CSIR NET 2023: Prohibited Materials at the Examination Centre

 According to the CSIR NET Guidelines, some materials and things are prohibited at the examination center, which is mentioned below:

  • Candidates are not allowed to bring any luggage to the exam center. NTA is not responsible for personal belongings stolen or lost on the premises.
  • Applicants must not use any text material, calculator, pen, slide rule, journal table, electronic watch with a calculator, printed or written material, scraps of paper, cell phone, Bluetooth devices, pagers, or any other electronic device/device, etc.
  • Candidates cannot bring any gadgets/electronic devices into the room/exam room.
  • No candidate shall be allowed without the permission of the Inspector of the Center or the corresponding Inspector.
  • Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc., is strictly forbidden in the examination room/ward.
  • Candidates, especially those carrying prohibited items, including metal items such as Kara and Kirpan, must report to their respective exam centers one and a half hours before gate closing time to ensure timely screening/registration and access to the exam room.
