CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2023: Syllabus, Topics to Prepare for CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship section was introduced as an optional section in CMAT 2021 exam. However, from 2022 onwards, the NTA authority decided to include CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship as a compulsory section. As per previous year’s pattern, CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship section consisted of 20 MCQs in total with a negative marking scheme of -1 (for every incorrect answer). For Innovation and Entrepreneurship section there are no such study materials available in the market, which is why the candidates often think as to how to prepare for this section. CMAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The CMAT 2023 exam, paper will consist of 100 questions across all the five sections with 20 questions in each section. The duration of the CMAT exam will be of 180 minutes. Given below is the CMAT 2023 exam pattern for reference:

CMAT Exam Marking Scheme

The CMAT exam consists of a total of 100 questions. Each section carries equal weightage. Each correct question will be rewarded with +4 marks while each incorrect response will attract a negative marking of -1. Unattempted questions will be given no marks. The table given below shows the overview of the CMAT exam marking scheme as per previous year:

What is CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2023?

This is a section which test’s student knowledge in the current scenario of entrepreneurship. Candidates preparing for the upcoming CMAT Exam 2023 must know that Innovation and Entrepreneurship was added as an optional section in the year 2021 for the first time. A total of 20 questions were asked from this section of easy difficulty level. Innovation and Entrepreneurship section consists of questions based on both current affairs and static affairs. Most of the questions were asked from Business Knowledge (15 questions) and 2 questions were asked from scheme.
