CLAT Eligibility Criteria for UG (Undergraduate) Course

The Eligibility Criteria of the CLAT 2022 exam is divided into two parts as follows:

  1. Age-based Eligibility

There is no upper age limit for admission in the Undergraduate (UG) program of CLAT 2022.

  1. Educational Qualification & Minimum Percentage Requirement for UG Law Programme
  • Qualification

To be eligible for CLAT 2022 students must qualify 12th examination with any recognized board or university.

  • Percentage
  • General/ OBC category candidates must score 45% marks in the qualifying exam

  • 40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates to be eligible.

  • Appearing
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam will be also eligible for the examination.

  • In this case, candidates will also have to prove evidence of their passing the qualifying examination.

PG Law Programme

  • Qualification
  • Candidates must have qualified LLB or any other qualifying examination to be eligible for the examination.
  • Percentage
  • Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks for the General category.

  • To be eligible for the examination candidates have to score 45% for the reserved category.

  • Appearing
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam will be also eligible for the examination.

  • In this case, candidates will also have to show proof of their passing the qualifying examination.
