CLAT 2020: Exam Schedule Out: Exam Pattern may be changed

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) had issued a Press release on 21st November. According to the press release, CLAT 2020 will be held in offline i.e. Pen & Paper-based. CLAT 2020 will be held on May 10, 2020. The decision was taken by the Consortium of NLUs in its meeting held on 21st Nov, at the Consortium‘s Permanent Secretariat in Bangalore.

Changes announced in the Press Release - 

CLAT 2020 Exam Date

  • CLAT 2020 will be held on May 10, 2020

CLAT 2020 Notification

  • Notification will be released in the last week of December 2019.

CLAT 2020 Online Application Form

  • The online application form will be available from January 1, 2020.

Mode of the Exam 

  • As per the Press release the exam will be held in Offline – Pen & Paper.

Change in the Pattern of the Exam

  • The CLAT – 2020 will also have a change in the pattern of the questions for the Undergraduate entrance examination.

Comprehension based questions would be asked from the following topics

  • Quantitative Techniques,
  • English, Current Affairs,
  • Deductive Reasoning and
  • Logical Reasoning.

No. of questions will be reduced in CLAT 2020 - 

  • The total number of questions would be reduced from 200 to 120 or 150 questions
  • Duration of the exam will be two hours.

No Legal Aptitude Section in CLAT 2020

It is an assumption that in no Legal Aptitude Section may be asked in CLAT 2020. Actual answer will be probably come with the release of the official notification in the last week of December.
