CGPSC AE Selection Process 2022
CGPSC AE Selection Process is decided by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission for the CGPSC Assistant Engineer recruitment through State Engineering Service (SES). Candidates who will be selected through the CGPSC AE exam 2022 for 83 vacancies will fill the vacant post of Assistant Engineer in Chhattisgarh State.
The CGPSC AE selection process involves three major stages, a written exam, an interview and document verification. All the stages of the CGPSC AE selection are equally important. CGPSC AE Selection Process: Written Exam
The very first stage of the CGPSC AE selection process is the written exam or prelims exam. Candidates who will fill up the application form will be eligible to paper for the written exam.
- The CGPSC AE written exam is used for shortlisting the candidates for the next stage of the recruitment process.
- All the candidates who have successfully applied for the CGPSC Assistant Engineer Exam will be called to appear for the written test that will be conducted in online mode.

CGPSC AE Selection Process: Interview
The second stage of CGPSC AE selection process is interview. Candidates who qualify for the written test of the CGPSC AE online test 2021 by obtaining the cut off marks will be called for the Personal Interview round.
- The CGPSC AE interview will be of a total of 75 marks.
- In case if board decide to directly conduct a personal interview for recruitment then it will be 100 marks, then the qualifying marks of the personal interview will be 33% for general or unreserved candidate whereas for other categories it will be 23%.
- Candidates can expect personal questions as well as technical questions in the interview.
Therefore, the candidate needs to be well prepared for all the challenges in the Personal Interview round of the CGPSC Assistant Engineer recruitment.
CGPSC AE Selection Process: Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who qualify both the CGPSC AE written test and interview are called to appear for the CGPSC AE document verification. At the time of the document verification, candidates have to present their all original documents and need to submit a photocopy of the same to the authority.

Given below is a list of documents candidates need to carry during the document verification process for the CGPSC AE 2021
- Class 10th and 12th Mark-sheet + Pass Certificate
- Degree mark-sheet.
- Caste certificate in case of OBC/SC/ST candidate.
- Domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh state.
- Discharge certificate in case of Ex-servicemen candidates
- Physically Handicapped category candidates have to produce OH/HH/VH certificates in the prescribed format.
- Passport size photographs (2 required)
- ID proof (Voter card / Aadhar Card / Ration Card / Driving License)
- An affidavit is required if the candidate’s name is changed after the 10th Class.
- Medical fitness certificate from district medical board
CGPSC AE Exam Qualifying Marks
All the candidates will have to obtain the following marks in the CBT exam of CGPSC AE exam. The cut off marks are given below as per the category of the candidates.
