CGPSC AE Exam Pattern: Overview
In this article, we have provided you with the detailed CGPSC AE exam pattern along with the marking scheme. The CGPSC AE written exam will have 2 papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CGPSC AE paper 1 will be common to all the candidates while Paper 2 will be based on the core engineering subjects. The total marks for each of the CGPSC AE exam is 300 marks. CGPSC AE Exam Pattern for Paper 1 and Paper 2
The CGPSC AE 2022 exam will consist of two written papers of 300 marks each. The first paper would deal with general topics and the second paper would be discipline-specific. It will be followed by an interview of 75 marks. Since both the papers carry equal marks, it is of prime importance for the candidates to put in equal time and effort in both papers.

- Paper 1:- It would have questions related to General Knowledge, Reasoning, History, Polity of Chhattisgarh, and General Aptitude. This section will have 150 objective-type questions of 2 marks each. The time allotted for this section is 2 Hours and 30 minutes.
- Paper 2: The exam would test the discipline-specific knowledge of the candidates and will have questions related to the field of engineering that students are qualified for. This section will also have 150 questions of 2 marks each. The time allotted for this section is also 2 Hours 30 Minutes.

CGPSC AE Interview
The CGPSC AE interview will be conducted for those candidates who will qualify the CGPSC Assistant Engineer written test. All the candidates who will obtain the cut-off marks in the CGPSC AE written test will be called to appear for the CGPSC AE interview which will be 75 marks.
You must note that it is mandatory to appear for the interview for the CGPSC AE 2021 recruitment otherwise you will be disqualified from the further recruitment process.
