CDS Exam Centers 2023: List of CDS Test Cities and Location

While filling out the application form, candidates picked their desired CDS Exam Centres. The exam is scheduled to take place on 16 April 2023. Candidates admitted to the CDS exam centre will be informed of the timetable and place or places of examination prior to the exam through the release of admit card.

CDS Exam is conducted all over the country across various CDS Exam Centres. The UPSC has already shared the list of CDS exam centres and the official notification. Here we provide you with all the details for the CDS exam centres list 2023.

Allotment of CDS Exam Centre
The Allotment of CDS exam centres will be on a first-apply-first-allot basis, and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen.
- Applicants, who cannot get a CDS exam centre of their choice due to the ceiling, will be required to choose a centre from the remaining ones. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so they can get a centre of their choice.
- Notwithstanding the aforesaid provision, the Commission reserve the right to change the CDS exam centres at their discretion if the situation demands.
- Candidates admitted to the examination will be informed of the timetable and place or places of examination.
- Candidates should note that no request for a change of centre will be granted.
- If any candidate appears at a Centre/Paper other than the one indicated by the Commission in his/her Admission Certificate, the papers of such a candidate will not be valued, and his/her candidature will be liable for cancellation.
Important Instructions for CDS Exam Centres 2023
The following are some of the important instruction candidate should keep in mind regarding CDS exam centres 2023:
- Check the CDS Admit Card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately before entering the CDS Exam Centre.
- Bring this e-Admit card (printout), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. You are responsible for the safe custody of the e-Admit Card, and in the event of any other person using this e-Admit Card, the onus lies on you to prove that you have not used the service of any impersonator.
- Candidates should note that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in encoding filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
- Enter the Examination Hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination. Entry to the Examination Venue closes 10 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the examination in each Session.
- Candidate should note that candidate will not be allowed to appear at any other Venue except the Venue mentioned.
UPSC CDS Exam Centres: Prohibited Items

- Mobile Phones, Calculators or any IT Gadgets are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted.
- Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items to the Examination Halls, as safekeeping of the same can not be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
Documents Required at UPSC CDS Exam Centres
Following documents and items must be carried by the candidates while going for the exam at their allotted CDS exam centres:
- Bring the e-Admit card (printout), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall.
- Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring a photo identity proof, viz. Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter I Card etc. and three passport-size photographs, one for each session, for appearing in the examination with an undertaking.
- Candidates are advised to bring their own Black Ball Point Pen to CDS exam centres.
- The candidate may carry his/her own hand sanitiser (small size) in a transparent bottle.
- Wearing of mask/face cover is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without masks/face covers will not be allowed entry into the Venue.
