CDS Exam Centres 2022: The CDS 2 2022 exam is scheduled to take place on 04 September 2022. While filling out the application form, candidates picked their desired UPSC CDS exam centres. Candidates admitted to the exam centre will be informed of the timetable and place or places of examination prior to the exam through the release of admit card which is out on 10 August 2022.

Allotment of CDS Exam Centre

  • The Allotment of CDS Centres will be on a first-apply-first-allot basis and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen. 
  • Applicants, who cannot get a centre of their choice due to the ceiling, will be required to choose a Centre from the remaining ones. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so that they could get a Centre of their choice.
  • Notwithstanding the aforesaid provision, the Commission reserve the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands.
  • Candidates admitted to the examination will be informed of the timetable and place or places of examination. 
  • Candidates should note that no request for a change of centre will be granted.
  • If any candidate appears at a Centre/Paper other than the one indicated by the Commission in his/her Admission Certificate, the papers of such a candidate will not be valued and his/her candidature will be liable to cancellation.

Important Instructions for CDS 2 Exam Centres 2022

  • Check the CDS Admit Card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately before entering the CDS Exam Centre.
  • Bring this e-Admit card (print out), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. You are responsible for the safe custody of the e-Admit Card and in the event of any other person using this e-Admit Card, the onus lies on you to prove that you have not used the service of any impersonator.
  • "Candidates should note that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in encoding filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection".
  • Enter the Examination Hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination. Entry to the Examination Venue closes 10 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the examination in each Session.
  • Candidate should note that candidate will not be allowed to appear at any other Venue except the Venue mentioned.

UPSC CDS Exam Centres: Prohibited Items

  • Mobile Phones, Calculators or any of the IT Gadgets are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. 
  • Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items to the Examination Halls, as safe keeping of the same can not be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

Documents Required at UPSC CDS Exam Centres

Following documents and items must be carried by the candidates while going for the exam at their allotted CDS exam centre:

  • Bring the CDS e-Admit card (print out), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. 
  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring a photo identity proof viz. Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter I Card etc. and three passport size photograph one for each session for appearing in the examination with an undertaking.
  • Candidates are advised to bring their own Black Ball Point Pen to CDS Exam Centres.
  • The candidate may carry his/her own hand sanitiser (small size) in a transparent bottle.
  • Wearing of mask/face cover is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without masks/face cover will not be allowed entry into the Venue.

FAQs on CDS Exam Centres

  • You must carry a black ball point pen at the CDS Exam Centre. You are advised to use black ball point pen to fill the OMR sheet at CDS Exam center.

  • You must reach the CDS Exam 1-2 hours before the exam time to avoid last minute hustle. As per the instructions by the UPSC, you must enter exam hall 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination.

  • You are not advised to carry a mobile phone at the CDS exam centre. But as we know the mobile phone is the need of the hour and aspirants use it to navigate to the exam centre, you can carry it but ensure the proper security arrangements as the official notification by the UPSC says 'Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items to the Examination Halls, as safe keeping of the same can not be assured'.

  • No, UPSC does not provide any travel allowance to the aspirant for travelling to CDS Exam Centre. You have to make your own travel arrangements to travel to the exam centre.
