CAT DI & LR Syllabus 2017
The data interpretation section deals with questions which are asked on the basis of certain information that is provided. The data that needs to be interpreted and solved in these questions are usually given in the form of charts, tables, graphs, and paragraphs. These questions are aimed to test the ability of the student to solve them accurately. Logical Reasoning questions, on the contrary, checks the ability of the candidate to logically evaluate problem statements and then derive the solutions.

The verbal ability section of the CAT exams has a dynamic approach towards checking how good is the candidate with English as a language. Here, in this section one is bound to be tested on how well he/she can form sentences.
