Can CSE Students Apply for the SSC JE exam? The answer is No. The Staff Selection Commission of India releases notification for the post of JE in generally Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines. Candidates belonging to the other engineering domain should thoroughly read the complete SSC JE recruitment notification before applying. Can Computer Science Students Apply for SSC JE?
No, CSE students are not eligible to apply for SSC JE. However, to verify the applicability aspirants can go through the complete eligibility criteria laid in the SSC JE notification.
In general Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC JE exam to recruit eligible candidates into several departments like MES, CPWD, BRO, NTRO, FARRAKA, and CWPRC. But in all these departments the vacancies are mostly for Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers. Therefore, CSE candidates are not suitable for the work.
Based on Eligibility Can CSE Students Apply for SSC JE?
According to SSC JE eligibility only candidates who have attained a degree or diploma in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering discipline from a recognized university or institution can apply for the exam. A point to note here for the student is that for different departments the eligibility criteria are mentioned against their name in the SSC JE recruitment notification. Therefore, while selecting the preference aspirants should consider their eligibility.
