Blister copper is a metalic copper which has a blistery surface caused by sulfur dioxide bubbles. The reaction takes place in a blast furnace at a very high temperature is as follows, Cu2S+2Cu2O→6Cu+SO2. The copper obtained in the product after bessemerisation process on copper and it gets solidified and contains a number of impurities in it such as Fe, Ni, Zn, etc. The blister copper is about 98% pure and the other percentage consists of impurities.
