Key points before starting your preparation for SEBI Grade A prelims 2021

1. Both papers I & Paper-II have separate cutoffs so keep it clear in your mind.

2. Nothing is mentioned for the sectional cutoff, and you can use it as an added advantage as now you can score high in the subjects you feel comfortable with adding an increase to your overall marking.

3. You can follow a common preparation strategy for paper-I and Paper-II of phase-1 as the syllabus for both is likely to be similar. So prepare well for paper-II as it can add to your overall score.

4. There are many subjects in paper-II that are to be completed in just 40 minutes. We can conjecture that it would be of the easy-moderate level just to test your basic knowledge. Although you have to be well prepared from your side.

5. Make a proper plan and pen down it before you start anything new. Research better for the new subjects and pick a topic on a daily basis to complete your syllabus.

How to Prepare for the SEBI Grade A Prelims 2021 Exam?

There are four subjects in paper I (Phase-1) and no information regarding their marks distribution has been given. We can expect an information handout that too just a or two weeks before. These four subjects are:

  1. English Language
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. Reasoning Ability
  4. GA (With some questions on the financial sector)

Preparation strategy for SEBI Grade A Paper I

You all must be revising Reasoning, quant, English for the bank exams as the syllabus for these subjects remain the same. But GA is considered to be the game-changer. Questions and syllabus change in this section as every day passed. We can not presume about the questions in the exam with accuracy.

The best way to prepare for any exam is by analyzing your self-worth. Finding out how good are you at something and what steps are you have taken to improve them. Everybody learns, but they somehow fail to focus on the weak areas and keep learning new things. This is not going to work in bank exams. If you learn something, test yourself if you are good to go ahead or do the previous topics still need time to improve.

After revising your whole syllabus, take mock tests, to identify if you are at your best or not. Mock tests give you real exams like experience and the ability to tackle the questions in the stipulated time. So taking the mock test on a regular basis (preferably twice a week) is important.
