RBI Grade B Selection Process 2023: Every year Reserve Bank of India conducts the RBI Grade B exam for vacant seats across the branches of RBI. In order to shortlist efficient and effective candidates, RBI has split the selection procedure for the RBI Grade B Officer post into three different stages.

Candidates who fulfill the entire RBI Grade B eligibility norms and are interested in applying for the post must undergo each selection stage as directed by RBI. RBI Grade B Officer Selection Stages

RBI Grade B 2023 exam is divided into a three-phase selection process. The phases of the RBI Grade B selection process are as follows:

  • Phase 1 – Online Objective Test: This is the qualifying stage. The marks obtained in this stage won’t contribute to the result. But the applicants need to score well to step up to the next stage of the selection process. It comprises 200 questions to be answered in 120 minutes. There is a sectional timing allotted to each subject. 
  • Phase 2 – Online Objective Test:  It has a blend of objective and descriptive exams; the same details are mentioned here. There is a separate designated time frame allotted to each section. 
  • GD and Interview– This is the final stage of the selection process. The addition of the scores obtained in this stage and phase 2 will make up the final results.

RBI Grade B Selection Process 2023 – Phase 1, 2, Interview

RBI Grade B Phase 1 Selection Process

Phase 1 of the RBI Grade B selection process is an online objective test conducted for a total of 200 marks within a time duration of 2 hours. The details of the Phase 1 selection stage for the RBI Grade B Officer post are as follows:

Note: It is just qualifying in nature. A total time of 120 minutes will be given for answering. However, separate time will be allotted for each test.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 Selection Process

Phase 2 of the RBI Grade B selection process is a combination of an online objective test and a Descriptive test. The details of the Phase 2 selection stage for the RBI Grade B Officer post are as follows:

RBI Grade B Interview Selection Process

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase 2 (Paper 1 +Paper 2 +Paper 3).
  • The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for an interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies.
  • The interview will carry 75 marks.
  • A candidate may opt for an interview either in Hindi or English.

RBI Grade B Final Selection

Final Selection will be through a merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in the Phase 2 examination and interview.
