The National Testing Agency (NTA) On Monday 15 March, released the notification for rescheduling the ‘Assam Olympiad’ examination and announced it to be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021. The exam has been rescheduled due to plans to hold elections to the Assam Legislative Assembly in the last week of March.
In an official notice, NTA stated, “In view of elections to the Assam Legislative Assembly in the last week of March 2021, it has been decided to reschedule the Assam Olympiad 2021 exam as follows. The exam will be conducted on 11.04.2021 (Sunday).”
As per the details mentioned in the released notification, the students of classes 6, 7, 8, and 9 will appear for the exam in the morning session that would be held between 8.30 am and 11.30 am. The exam for other classes 10, 11, and 12 will be held in the afternoon session between 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
Assam Olympiad 2021: Other Important details
As per the previously released notice from NTA, the exam will be held in paper pen mode. Candidates will be required to mark their answers on OMR answer sheets. The paper will be objective and will comprise Multiple Choice Questions.
The aim of this olympiad is “The Assam Olympiad is aimed at bringing the most talented secondary and higher secondary students of Govt. schools of Assam together in a friendly competition of the highest level. The Assam Olympiad provides a stimulus to begin a career in science or mathematics, to undertake a lifelong journey into the realms of exciting intellectual challenges”.
