Army Public School Recruitment: Important Pointers

Candidates can check the new important pointers related to the Army Public Schools from the facts given below

  • Army Teacher is an online exam (computer-based) and the total allotted time is 180 minutes to complete the test.
  • There will be 200 questions in the Army Public School exam.
  • One mark will be allocated for each correct answer.
  • There will be a 1/4th (0.25 marks) negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • The medium of the question paper will be only English Language.

Last-Minute Tips for Army School Teacher Exam

Check the Army Public School Exam last minute For the students who are all set to take up the Army School Teacher (PRT/TGT/PGT) exam, here are a few things to follow.

  1. Do not study too much a day before: Take a break from your studies on the day before the exam to keep your mind relaxed. It is advisable don't touch on any new topic just a day before the exam. Try to cover or revise only topics that you have prepared well.
  2.  Revision: In the last few minutes before the exam candidates should check the short notes or handwritten notes prepared specifically for General Awareness, Mathematics formula, Reasoning Short tricks and revise them.
  3. Check APS admit card and other documents: Before leaving for the exam center, check whether you have kept all the required documents. Make sure you have kept the APS admit card and a photo ID along with a passport-size photograph. It is advisable to carry a mask, hand sanitizer and water in a transparent bottle. Do not forget to keep a blue or black ballpoint pen.
  4. Time management: Candidates should start the exam with the subject they are most confident about. The simple solution is to solve easy questions first and then move on to the difficult ones. Do not spend too much time on questions you find tough. 
  5. Speed and accuracy:  Focus on the speed of solving the questions. If you are stuck on a question for more than a minute, leave it and move on. You can always come back to it later if time permits. If you are not confident of solving the question accurately, then skip it. Remember there is negative marking for wrong answers. 
  6. Don't Stress:  One of the most important things that a candidate should do before appearing in an exam is to revise all the important notes on all the topics carefully. Candidates should study the important topic from the syllabus. They should focus and dedicate more time to their weak sections by practicing some mock papers for teaching exams and polishing the strong areas.

Section-wise Army Public School Teacher Exam Strategy:

The Army Public School (PRT, TGT & PGT) exam consists of one paper of 200 marks divided into three sections. The new pattern of exams introduced in 2022 has added a few topics to each subject, which were not included in the APS (PRT, TGT & PGT) syllabus earlier. The syllabus covers the following section:

The topic to be studied in this section - are the Pedagogy of Secondary & Senior Secondary stage, Child Psychology/Inclusive Education and RTE, NEP 2020 & NCF 2005/latest NCF beyond 2005. The APS does not specify a list of topics in their notification; hence the syllabus is drawn up by analysing past years’ papers.

  • Do not devote much time to a single question.
