AP Panchayat Secretary 2019 Notification: 1051 Vacancies

APPSC Panchayat Secretary Notification 2019 has been released for 1051 vacancies of Panchayat Secretary (Grade-IV) in A.P. Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at the official site of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission - https://psc.ap.gov.in from 27 December 2018 till 19 January 2019. The computer-based is expected to be held on 2 August 2019. If the number of applicants exceeds 25,000 entries, APPSC has decided to conduct a screening test in that case. As per the notification, the screening test will be held on 21 April 2019.

The APPSC Panchayat Secretary online application will begin on 27 December 2018. You can apply online through the official site of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission ((APPSC) - https://psc.ap.gov.in. Please note that the last date to apply online is 19 January 2019. Applications after the last date will not be acceptable. We will update the direct link to apply online for the APPSC Recruitment 2019.

Salary

The pay scale of AP Panchayat Secretary will be Rs.16,400 – 49,870.

Age Limit

The lower age limit to apply for APPSC Recruitment 2019 is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 42 years of age as on 01.07.2018. Before applying, make sure that your date of birth lies between 2nd July 1976 and not later than 1st July 2000.  There will be reservations applied for Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Backward Classes, PWD and Women as per the APPSC laws.

Educational Qualification

To apply for the APPSC Recruitment 2019, you must have passed the Degree from the Government recognized University in India or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Selection Process

Offline Screening Test

The commission has announced that if the online application exceeds more than 25000, the commission will conduct an offline screening test to shortlist the candidates for Computer Based Test (CBT). The Screening Test is expected to be held on 21st April 2019.

Online Mains Test - CBT

The online Computer Based Test will be held for the shortlisted candidates. The tentative exam date for the online Mains test is 2nd August 2019. The selection of candidates for the Panchayat Secretary posts will be purely based on the merit list in the computer-based examination. We will update all the latest information regarding the APPSC exam date.

Merit List

After the completion of CBT, the merit list of the shortlisted candidates will be released. Those who will qualify the CBT, will have to submit the medical certificates of their fitness. No candidates with medical issues will be considered selected for the post of Panchayat Secretary.

  4. Social- economic and political history of modern India with emphasis on Andhra Pradesh.
  5. Indian polity and governance: constitutional issues, public policy, reforms and e-governance initiatives with specific reference to Andhra Pradesh.
  6. Economic development in India since independence with emphasis on Andhra Pradesh.
  7. Physical geography of Indian sub-continent and Andhra Pradesh.
  8. Disaster management: vulnerability profile, prevention and mitigation strategies, Application of Remote Sensing and GIS in the assessment of Disaster.
