Eligibility Criteria For Both
Candidates are requested to go through the following eligibility requirements to apply for the posts. Both Staff Assistant and Manager posts urge for similar eligibility criteria.
- The candidate should have completed graduation from a recognized university with an average of 40% and above.
- The locale of the candidate should be within the territory of Andhra Pradesh.
- S/he is expected to be proficient in the Telugu language.
- Must have a good knowledge of English.
- Additionally, computer-friendly ones will be given special preference.
Age Limit For Both
The minimum age for both Staff Assistant and Manager posts is 20 years, and the maximum age is 28 years.
Selection Procedure For Both
The selection examination will be held in online mode. All the candidates who have filled forms within the stipulated date and time are applicable to sit in the examination. They will be directed to visit an examination center on a particular date and time to take the examination. The total number of marks assigned for the test is 100. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, every wrong answer will receive -0.25, and the unanswered ones will be allotted a 0. The syllabus with break up in contents is all mentioned on their official website. After clearing the round of examination, you will have to sit for an interview to get selected.
Application Fees
Candidates who desire to attend the examination to get recruited by the APCOB should positively pay the application fees before the last date. The application charges for General/BC are Rs.700, whereas SC/ST/PC/EXS are charged Rs.500 for the said exam. This payment is for one time and will not be refunded.
Salary
The candidates interested in preparing and appearing for the examination may be curious to know about the salary. The amount of salary the staff assistants will receive after clearing two rounds of selection tests is illustrated below:
Manager Scale I
The payment scale for the Manager Scale I post is currently Rs. 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/249910-1990/7-63840 with 5 additional stagnant increases after they arrive at the maximum of the scale. The initial 4 stagnation increase will be published after every 2 years of service completion, of which the initial 2 shall be Rs. 1990 and the succeeding two will be Rs. 2220. The 5th stagnation increase in pay scale will be Rs. 2220 which will be disclosed 2 years after receipt of the 4th stagnation increment. The total amount comes to Rs. 60943 per month (as of June 2021). Furthermore, there are other allowances such as Conveyance Allowance, Newspaper allowance, Medical Allowance, etc.
Staff Assistant
The current salary of a Staff Assistant is (INR) 17900 – 1000/3 – 20900 – 1230/3 – 24590 – 1490/4– 30550 – 1730/7 – 42660 – 3270/1 – 45930 – 1990/1 – 47920 (20 stages), with nine additional stagnation boosts of Rs. 1990 every 2 years from the maximum of their pay scale. The total salary corresponding to Rs. 32,854 per month (according to June 2021). Additionally, other compensations such as Newspaper allowance, Telephone Bill reimbursement, Medical Allowance, etc., are also taken care of.
