Answer writing challenge : Decriminalising of section 377 of the IPC

Hello Gradians,

We appreciate your efforts in the answer writing section. A lot many students have been attempting the questions ardently and comprehensively. We have been trying our best to evaluate your answers and give you feedback too. 

The question for this week’s challenge is from paper 1and 2 of the GS. Indian society has struggled against a lot of taboos and challenges one of which included the stigma against gay relationships. In this background, we bring to you the Supreme Court's decriminalising of section 377 of the Indian Penal Code and the question is as follows; 

Section 377 reflected the imposition of Victorian values and was never a reflection of Indian values. In this regard, the Supreme Court’s judgment has come out as a victory which will challenge the existing inequalities. Comment.
