PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Ladakh, and his Interaction with the Soldiers Deployed in Ladakh
Background
- PM, on Friday – July 3rd, made a surprise visit to Ladakh. He was briefed by Army Officers at the forward position of NIMU during ongoing tension with China.
- PM was accompanied by CDS General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane.
- A few days back, in an incident, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred while 43 Chinese soldiers were either killed or injured.
Details
- PM Narender Modi showed China that Indian Govt. take this matter very seriously and does not compromise with the security and integrity of the country.
- He met Jawans and Officers on ground Zero & found out the actual situation.
- He also met the commander over there & identified the immediate requirements, so that immediate steps can be taken over there.
- This visit and meeting give a clear message to China and other neighbours that India is serious and prepared for any condition.
- This Step clearly depicts the Integrity and Sovereignty of India.
- PM also gave the message that the era of expansion is over; it is the time of development (China continuously tries to expand their boundary in the South China Sea, Sankaku island of Japan & has caused Hong Kong rights dispute).
