AILET Admission Procedure 2022 - The National Law University in Delhi administers the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). Candidates are shortlisted for admission to the five-year Law (B.A.LL.B.) (H) course through this entrance exam. This is India's most difficult entrance examination in the legal profession, as well as the most intensely contended law entrance examination in the subcontinent, with 25,000 candidates competing for 123 seats.

Candidates who pass the AILET test and meet the cutoff for admission to the B.A.LL.B.(H) program are shortlisted for the counseling procedure. To gain a place, candidates whose names appear on the merit list must come in person to the AILET counseling location in New Delhi. AILET counseling will be conducted by National Law University, Delhi, and will be divided into various offline phases, with final admission confirmed once eligible applicants pay the admission fee.

 AILET Counselling – Key Highlights

  • The AILET 2021 counseling will be conducted by NLU Delhi.

  • Counseling is only available in an offline manner at NLU Delhi.

  • The AILET counseling for admission to the B.A. LL.B. program is held at NLU Delhi (H).

  • On the day of document verification, candidates must pay Rs. 50,000/- (via demand draft).

  • AILET counseling will be conducted in multiple rounds at National Law University, Delhi.

AILET Counselling Procedure Stepwise

  1. Issuance of specific merit list (allotment list) by NLU Delhi 
  • NLU Delhi will provide a cutoff list based on the obtained marks in the entrance test, and authorities will analyze each candidate's performance to compile a merit list based on the obtained marks.
  • The merit list of the selected candidates will be available on the NLU Delhi website (nludelhi.ac.in). It lists the applicants' names, as well as their roll numbers, guardians' names, gender, and AILET results.
  1. Downloading call letter from the official website
  • A call letter will be sent to all of the candidates who have been shortlisted. Candidates must download the call letter for AILET counseling in the same manner as they did their admission cards.
  • Candidates must use their login credentials, such as their application number or applicant's name and date of birth, to obtain the AILET call letter for counseling.
  1. Reporting at the AILET counseling venue in New Delhi
  • The AILET Call letter will provide several specifics, such as the counseling location, date, and time. On the day and time specified on the call letter, candidates must report to the counseling facility.
  1. Document verification by the officials from NLU Delhi
  • At the time of counseling, all shortlisted candidates must provide all essential papers, including the AILET call letter. NLU Delhi personnel will examine all of the papers to determine whether students are qualified for admission.
  1. Payment of admission fee for the confirmation of admission
  •  On the day of counseling, candidates must bring a demand note in the amount of Rs. 50,000 payable to 'The Registrar' of the National Law University Delhi.
