AFCAT Merit List 2023 will be released by the Indian Air Force for the course commencing in Jan 2024 at IAF Academy. We will be providing you with the AFCAT final merit list PDF of selected candidates joining the AFA for training courses. The Indian Air Force will shortlist applicants for the upcoming course through this final merit list.

The relative rank of all candidates suggested by AFSBs can be seen on the merit list, which excludes medical status. This article will discuss AFCAT final merit list and the steps to download PDF.

AFCAT Merit List

Below, we will provide you with the AFCAT 1 merit list 2023 for courses starting at AFA on January 2024. It will be listed in order of merit according to entry. The relative rank of all candidates suggested by AFSBs can be seen on the AFCAT merit list, which excludes medical status. You have not been chosen to join AFA based on this merit list.

Depending on the order of merit, medical fitness, branch preference, and openings in each branch, a separate AFCAT final merit list with marks of individuals chosen to join AFA would be issued. Please note that the selection for AFCAT Exam is subject to medical fitness as given by the competent Armed Forces Medical Authorities and on submission of requisite documents as proof of having achieved the minimum educational qualifications for the course, besides other qualifications.

Call letters for the course commencing in Jan 2024 would be dispatched by Speed Post / Scanned copy through E-Mail to the address/E-mail ID of the candidates. Instruction Booklet with the format of various forms is available for download at the Indian Air Force career website.

Steps to Download the AFCAT Merit List

The names on this AFCAT merit list are listed in order of merit for courses at the Air Force Academy. The steps to download the AFCAT merit list are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official site of the Indian Air Force.
Step 2: Click on the notification that reads the “AFCAT Final Merit List course(s) commencing in Jan 2024” link flashing on the homepage.
Step 3: A PDF will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Search your name in the PDF list using the Ctrl+F key.
Step 5: Download AFCAT Merit List and save it for future reference.

AFCAT Merit List: Date and Time of Reporting

The date and time of reporting at AFA will be given in call letters. After checking the AFCAT merit list, candidates who have ‘signed Joining Instructions’ are to report at the Reception Cell located on Platform Number 10 of Secunderabad Railway Station / Airport and should have a negative RT-PCR report for the test conducted within 72 hours before reporting.

Note: Late Reporting by candidates will not be accepted under any circumstances.

The notification for the upcoming exam was released by Indian Air Force on 27 November 2022. The exam will be conducted by Indian Air Force on the 24, 25, and 26 February 2023.
