AFCAT 2 2022 Exam Timeline

The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts the AFCAT exam twice a year, and millions of students attempt to pass it to enter a reputed Air Force Academy and receive a commission as an Indian Air Force Officer. This exam has opened up the potential of both male and female candidates working in an exciting profession, which is appropriate for the young brains and flexibility of this dynamic generation.

The AFCAT 2 2022 Exam Notification has been released by the Indian Air Force on 19 May. Application for the same will start from 1 June 2022. We are sharing the expected timeline for AFCAT 2 2022 exam so that aspirants prepare themselves and come out with flying colors.

AFCAT 2 Eligibility 2022

AFCAT eligibility 2022 varies for the technical and non-technical branches. Candidates must ensure that they satisfy the entire AFCAT eligibility criteria as stated by the officials of IAF. Failing to fulfill the AFCAT eligibility criteria will disqualify you to appear for the AFCAT 2022 examination. Thus, go through the detailed AFCAT eligibility criteria given below to meet the required AFCAT eligibility norms.

1) Nationality:

The candidate opting to apply for AFCAT 2 2022 exam must be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.

2) Age Limit Criteria

3) Marital Status:

Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/ Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.

4) Educational Qualification

Flying Branch	50% marks in each maths & physics of Class 12 along with a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. OR B. Tech degree from a recognized university with 60% marks or equivalent. OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch	Minimum 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches	10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks.

AFCAT 2 Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2022

For all applicants applying for technical / non-technical posts, the Air Force Common Admission Test is mandatory. There will be 100 questions, each having 3 marks. So the total marks are 300. For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 3 marks while for the wrong response, 1 mark will be deducted.
