AFCAT Eligibility 2024
AFCAT eligibility 2024 varies for the technical and non-technical branches. Candidates must ensure that they satisfy the entire AFCAT eligibility criteria as stated by the officials of IAF. Failing to fulfill the AFCAT eligibility criteria will disqualify you to appear for the AFCAT 2024 examination. Thus, go through the detailed AFCAT eligibility criteria given below to meet the required AFCAT eligibility norms.
1) Nationality:
The candidate opting to apply for AFCAT 1 2024 exam must be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.
2) Age Limit Criteria

3) Marital Status:
Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/ Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.
4) Educational Qualification

Flying Branch | 50% marks in each maths & physics of Class 12 along with a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. OR B. Tech degree from a recognized university with 60% marks or equivalent. OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. |
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch | Minimum 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University. |
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches | 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks. |
AFCAT Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2024
For all applicants applying for technical / non-technical posts, the Air Force Common Admission Test is mandatory. There will be 100 questions, each having 3 marks. So the total marks are 300. For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 3 marks while for the wrong response, 1 mark will be deducted.
