UPSSSC JE Exam Pattern 2022

The UPSSSC JE exam would consist of three stages: written exam, interview and document verification. The UPSSSC JE written exam will have the only objective type of questions. The total marks for the written exam are 750 marks while 250 marks are for the UPSSSC JE interview.

UPSSSC JE 2022 Exam Pattern: Written Exam, Interview

Here is the exam pattern for the UPSSSC Junior Engineer exam. 

  • There are two papers in the UPSSSC JE 2022 Exam. 
  • The first paper covers general topics, whereas the second paper would focus solely on technical questions related to the branch of engineering (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) that the candidate belongs to.
  • Candidates would have to clear three stages namely; Written exam, Interview, and Document verification to be eligible for recruitment for the post of JE. 

UPSSSC JE Exam Pattern for Written Exam

The UPSSSC JE exam will have two papers, paper 1 and paper 2. 

  • The UPSSSC JE written exam will have the only objective type of questions. 
  • There would be a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer marked you in the UPSSSC Jr. Engg. written test. 
  • The UPSSSC JE Paper 1 would have a duration of 2 hours with 175 questions of 375 marks.
  • On the other hand, the UPSSSC Junior Engineer Paper 2 would be discipline-specific and would consist of 125 questions and would also be of 375 marks total.
  • Candidates need to clear the cut-off of the written exam to move forward in the selection process.

UPSSSC Junior Engineer Interview

The candidates who have cleared the UPSSSC JE Cut Off would be called to appear for the interview round. This stage in the UPSSSC JE 2022 exam would consist of 250 marks and the duration of it would depend on the discretion of the interview panel.

UPSSSC JE Document Verification (DV)

The candidates who have successfully cleared both of the rounds of the UPSSSC JE exam would have to get their documents verified by the commission. This would be the final stage of the UPSSSC JE Recruitment 2022 and the candidates who would satisfy all the requirements of this stage would be offered a joining letter for the post of Junior Engineer. 

Documents to Carry for UPSSSC Junior Engineer DV

Here is a list of documents that the candidates would need to carry to the verification centre-

  • Degrees/Certificates/Diploma and mark sheets of the qualifying examination as per the respective job post
  • Proof of residence issued by the competent authority.
  • Photo-Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driver’s License, Passport, etc.)
  • Valid Caste certificate for the reserved category (if necessary)
  • Letter/ Certificate of Work Experience
  • Passport-size photos 
  • NOC for govt. Service candidates.
