UPPCL JE Eligibility Criteria 2021: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) has specified the eligibility criteria in the UPPCL JE notification. All the candidates who are interested to apply online for the UPPCL JE exam must ensure that they fulfil the UPPCL eligibility criteria. The UPPCL eligibility criteria for Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer varies slightly. We have provided you with the detailed eligibility criteria for both UPPCL JE and UPPCL AE posts.  The UPPCL JE & AE eligibility criteria require fulfilling the age limit, educational qualification, physical fitness, marital status, domicile etc.

UPPCL JE Age Limit: Age Limit and Age Relaxation

Candidates who want to apply for the UPPCL JE & AE Exam must have a minimum age limit specified by UPPCL. The age limit for the UPPCL Asst. Engg. and Jr. Engineer varies.

• Applicants for the General category must be at the age of 21 to 40 years for UPPCL AE
• Applicants for the General category must be at the age of 18 to 40 years for UPPCL JE

Age Relaxation for UPPCL JE & AE Exam

The age relaxation for UPPCL JE & AE Exam will be applicable only to the Uttar Pradesh domiciles.

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)	5 years
Dependents of Freedom Fighters of UP	5 years
Persons With Disabilities	15 years

Note:  Maximum age of applicant availing all relaxation shall not exceed 55 years.

UPPCL JE Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for the UPPCL AE and JE is given below in the table. 

Educational Qualification for UPPCL Jr. Engineer 

Parameters	Details
Hindi Requirement	Candidates must have knowledge of Hindi and Devnagri Lipi. If the candidate has not passed High School or equivalent examination in Hindi, he/she has to produce a certificate from the head of the institution from which he passed out or from a gazetted officer in UP that he can read and write Hindi and Devnagri Lipi.
Educational Criteria	Candidates must complete three years of Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Govt. of India.  OR
	Candidates must complete three years of Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering  conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State Legislature. OR
	Candidates must complete three years of Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering awarded by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or Diploma equivalent to as recognized by the State Govt.

Educational Qualification for UPPCL Asst. Engineer

Hindi Requirement	Candidates must have knowledge of Hindi and Devnagri Lipi.
Educational Criteria	Electrical Engineering Category	A degree in Electrical Engineering or a mixed discipline degree combined with Electrical Engineering.
	Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering Category	A degree in Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering or mixed discipline degree combined with either Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
	Computer Science Engineering Category	A degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology or a mixed discipline degree combined with either Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology.

Note: Degree/Diploma received through Distance learning Education will not be eligible.

UPPCL JE Reservation Criteria

• Reservations will be given to SC, ST, OBC (Non creamy layer) and EWS candidates who are original inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh only.
• Candidates who comes under SC, ST, OBC and EWS category of other states and OBC (Creamy layer) of U.P should apply as Un-Reserved candidates.
•  Reservations under Freedom Fighter person or dependents of Freedom Fighters must also have a domicile of Uttar Pradesh only.
• Horizontal Reservation of 5% of Total vacancy for Ex Servicemen, 4% for Physically handicapped and 2% for dependents of Freedom Fighters will be provided to the domicile of UP only.

Character for UPPCL JE Recruitment 

All the applicants should produce a Character Certificate issued from the head of the last institute attended and also from two responsible and respectable people who are not the candidates’ relatives at the time of joining.

UPPCL JE Marital Status

A man who has more than one wife or a woman who has married a man having a wife shall not be considered eligible for the appointment of this service.

Physical Fitness for UPPCL JE & UPPCL AE Post

A candidate is finally approved for the final appointment when he/she will produce a fitness certificate from a Civil Surgeon of the district.

No Objection Certificate (NOC) for UPPCL JE 

No Objection Certificate must be produced by the candidate at the time of joining who are working with any State Govt./Central Govt./Semi Govt./Govt. taking organization.
