TNPSC CESE Eligibility Criteria 2023 is the first thing that a candidate should be aware of if he or she wishes to apply for the TNPSC CESE 2023 Exam. TNPSC CESE Qualification

The TNPSC CES Educational Qualification 2023 as per the TNPSC posts for Engineering services is is as follows:

  • The TNPSC CESE educational qualification must be obtained by passing the required qualification in the following order of studies viz. 10+ Diploma Course (10+3) or 10+ HSC + Diploma Course (10+2+2) or 10+ HSC + Bachelors Degree Course (10+2+4).
  • Further, the result of the examination should have been declared on or before the release of the notification.

Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution that is awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training of the concerned State Government

Diploma in Architectural Assistantship*

Note*: Diploma must be awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Director-General of Employment and Training, Government of India or by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Junior Technical Assistant 

Handlooms and Textiles Department

Must hold at least General Educational Qualification.

AND

A Diploma in Handloom Technology from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Salem or Varanasi or from any other recognized Institute of Handloom Technology.

OR

Diploma in Textile Manufacture obtained from Technological Diploma Examination Board, Madras or the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu. 

Junior Engineer

Fisheries Department 

Diploma in Civil Engineering

Note: Preference shall be given to those who have undergone an apprenticeship of at least 1 year under the Government of India Schemes or State Government apprenticeship training scheme.

TNPSC CESE Age Relaxation

The following category of candidates is eligible for age relaxation to apply for the exam. The candidates who apply from other states will be treated as General candidates.

Knowledge of Tamil Language for TNPSC CESE Exam

Candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil on the date of the TNPSC CESE Recruitment 2023. The candidates will be required to upload evidence in the form of SSLC/HSC/Transfer Certificate, Provisional
Certificate / Convocation Certificate / Degree Certificate/P.G Degree Certificate / Mark Sheets / Certificate from the Board or University or from the Institution from where the candidates have studied the Tamil language.

TNPSC CESE Physical Fitness Certificate

Candidates who will be appointed as TNPSC Combined Engineering Services must produce a certificate of physical fitness in the form prescribed in TNPSC AE 2023 eligibility criteria before their appointment:

Standard III or Better Colour 

The form is prescribed for other than Executive and Ministerial posts.

i) Blindness will be a disqualification.

ii) Defective vision applicants should produce an eye fitness certificate from an eye specialist.

Points for TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Age Limit

Here are some important points that you must take note of with respect to the age limit for the TNPSC Engineering Services 2022 exam. 

  • No maximum age limit means that the applicants should not have completed 60 years of age either on the date of Notification or at the time of selection/ appointment to the post
  • ‘Others Candidates i.e. those who do not belong to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs(OBCMs) and BCMs) who have put in 5 years and more of service in the State / Central Government cannot apply for TNPSC CESE even if they are within the age limit.
