Factors that determine PSTCL JE Cut Off Marks 2021

In order to qualify for the PSTCL Exam 2021, candidates must score more than the cut off marks specified by PSTCL Officials. Cut Off Marks are basically the minimum percentage of scores needed to be achieved by the aspirants to get qualified in the examination.

The PSTCL JE Cut Off Marks vary every year as it depends on several factors. Their variance can be figured out considering the below factors:

  • The Number of Applicants: This factor is a variable that fluctuates every year. More number of applicants, tougher the competition. Hence, the cut off marks will be higher in that case.
  • The Number of Vacancies: If the number of vacancies available is less in an examination, then the cutoffs will be extremely high in order to select the best candidates of all.
  • The difficulty level of the paper: The level of the question paper also determines how hard the cut-off limit will be. For example, the easier the question paper, the higher will be the cut-offs and vice versa.
  • The category of the applicants (OBC, SC, ST etc) will also play an important role in deciding the cut off marks for different categories.
