KPTCL Exam Pattern 2022 has been explained to you here in this post for the AE and JE posts. The KPTCL exam will have an aptitude test. Kannada Language Test will be conducted only for those candidates who have not studied or passed the Kannada language in Class 10th or at a higher level.

KPTCL Exam Pattern 2022

The KPTCL Exam Pattern 2022 is prescribed by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) in its official notification. The KPTCL exam pattern is one of the prerequisites that the candidates must know when they start the exam preparation. The KPTCL exam consists of one paper, an aptitude test. The aptitude test is a written test having only objective type of questions. 

The KPTCL aptitude test shall be for 100 marks for a duration of 2 Hours. The candidates will also be required to attempt a Kannda language paper test if they have not studied or passed the Kannada language exam at the 10th level or higher level. KPTCL Exam Pattern for Aptitude Test

The KPTCL exam shall be held in offline mode. The paper pattern is similar for the KPTCL AE and JE posts.

  • The KPTCL written exam shall have only multiple choice questions (MCQs).
  • The exam will be held in offline mode. 
  • The exam duration is 2 Hours. 
  • 0.25 marks shall be deducted for an incorrect answer. 
  • The selection of the candidates shall be made on the marks obtained by them in the written exam. 
  • The question paper for KPTCL written exam will be available in both English and Kannada languages. 
  • The language test will be conducted only for those candidates who have not studied Kannada in Class 10th as their 1st or 2nd language.

Language Paper for KPTCL Exam

The candidates who will be applying for KPTCL exam 2022 must have studied and passed the Kannada language in Class 10th or at a higher level. The candidates who have not studied and not passed the Kannada language will be required to appear for the language test before appearing for the aptitude test. The Kannada Language Test shall be descriptive in nature for 150 marks.

Qualifying Marks for KPTCL Language Paper

The candidates who will be taking the language test will be required to obtain at least 50 marks out of 150 marks in the exam. Candidates who will score less than 50 marks will not be eligible to further rounds of the selection process. 

KPTCL Qualifying Marks for Written Exam

KPTCL has notified the qualifying marks that the candidates will have to obtain in the written exam. The category wise cut off marks is mentioned below.
