GETCO JE Selection Process 2021

GETCO JE Selection Process is done through an online competitive examination. All the candidates who apply successfully for GETCO Jr. Engineer Exam for Electrical & Civil Engineering will have to appear for an online written test consisting of objective-type questions. There are mainly three stages of the selection process for GETCO Jr. Engineer:

  • Online Written Test
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Test

GETCO JE Written Exam Selection Process

GETCO JE Online Written Test is the first stage of the selection process for the GETCO Junior Engineer/Vidyut Sahayak Exam. The GETCO JE online test comprises of multiple-choice questions that have to be answered by the candidates. 

  • Altogether, there are 100 MCQs of 1 mark each in the GETCO Jr. Engineer Exam that will be held in ONLINE MODE. 
  • The question paper for GETCO JE will be set in English Language only.
  • There are five sections in the GETCO JE Exam Paper with the core subject having the maximum weightage. 
  • You will get +1 for every correct answer and -0.25 for every incorrect answer.

Normalization Process for GETCO JE Selection Process

If the GETCO Junior Engineer Exam is held in multiple shifts then the candidates’ marks will be normalized as per the rule issued in the GETCO JE Notification PDF.  The normalized score will be considered upto two decimals in the case of a fraction.

GETCO JE Document Verification

The next step after conducting the written exam for GETCO Jr. Engineer exam, the candidates who will obtain the cut off marks in the written test will be called for the document verification. All the educational documents and other important documents will be verified by the authorities. We have given the list of important documents that will be needed to be produced by the candidates during the GETCO JE/Vidyut Sahayak DV. 

List of Documents Required During GETCO JE Document Verification

  • Printout of GETCO JE Online Application / Registration Form along with two recent passport size photographs. 
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Marksheets of B. E/B. Tech Final Year issued by the college/university
  • Degree Certificate
  • B. E/B. Tech Certificate from the Institute/University mentioning percentage
  • Caste certificate (SC/ST/SEBC) issued by the competent authority of Gujarat State.
  • Valid EWS Certificate of Gujarat State in case of EWS category candidates
  • SEBC candidates have to produce a Valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate for candidates belonging to Gujarat. 
  • Valid Disability Certificate in case of PwD candidates 
  • Anyone Identity Proof (Voter ID / PAN Card / Aadhar Card / Driving Licence etc.)
  • Necessary certificate in case of Ex-Serviceman

Other Documents as per requirement

  • For Dependent of Retired Employee of GETCO, Relieving Order or Certificate issued to the employee should be attached.
  • For widow applicants, the death certificate of the husband and an undertaking to the effect that the applicant has not re-married.
  • “No Objection Certificate” from Government / Semi-Government / PSU Organizations where the candidate is employed at the time of selection and during the subsequent period prior to joining. 

GETCO JE Medical Test

Once the candidates’ document verification has been completed for the GETCO Junior Engineer post, the last and final step is the medical fitness test. All the candidates should be medically fit and of sound mind to be appointed as GETCO Junior Engineer/Vidyut Sahayak into the corporation.

GETCO JE Cut Off (Qualifying Marks)

Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd. (GETCO) has specified cut off marks for the candidates belonging to different categories to arrive at the merit list. however, the given marks are only the cut off marks. The selection would purely be made on the basis of marks obtained by you in the written test as per the merit list.

Final Selection for GETCO Jr. Engineer

The final selection of candidates for GETCO Junior Engineer 2021 will be made through the marks obtained by the candidates in the online written test. Further, all the necessary documents will have = to be supported by you to avoid disqualification from the next round. Lastly, you have to qualify the medical fitness that is mandatory to qualify.
