BPSC AE Syllabus 2021

BPSC AE Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2021: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) syllabus for the post of Assistant Engineer (AE) is given here as per the latest notification. BPSC AE 2021 exam is conducted for the post of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineer. In order to start your preparation for the BPSC AE examination, the first thing that you must know is the syllabus and its important topics. The BPSC AE syllabus consists of a total of 6 papers out of which 4 are compulsory and common for all the branches. On the other hand, 2 papers are as per the concerned stream of engineering. The selection for the BPSC AE Exam will consist of one single examination, which is the written exam.

BPSC Assistant Engineer Syllabus: Exam Pattern

The BPSC AE Exam is held offline mode and carry a total of 600 marks. Out of the total of 600 marks, 200 marks paper will be only qualifying in nature while 400 marks are allotted for the compulsory papers and in which 200 marks are allotted for the optional papers ie concerned discipline. Each paper consists of 100 Marks.

  • The BPSC AE compulsory paper consists of  4 subjects that are, General Engineering Science, General English, General Hindi, General Studies. 
  • The BPSC AE optional paper consists of the core engineering paper i.e. Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering. Each engineering discipline will have 2 papers of 100 marks each. 
  • Candidates need to score a minimum of 30 marks in the compulsory and qualifying papers, English and Hindi in order to get the optional sheet check.
  • The BPSC AE examination will be of objective type ( Multiple choice questions).
  • The exam will be conducted for 1 hr for each subject paper.
  • There will be a penalty for each wrong answer of 0.25 per wrong answer in the BPSC AE Exam
