A ray of light traveling in the air enters obliquely into water. The ray bends towards the normal in this case.

Artificial Light Sources

Incandescent Sources:

Luminescent Sources:

Example– Fluorescent tube light, electric bulb
Gas Discharge Sources:
Light can also be produced by transferring electricity via specific gases at very low pressure.
Example – Neon lamp, Sodium lamp.
