1. Proper Knowledge of Exam Pattern –

Before going through the study plan, make sure you are well aware of the IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern and syllabus. Below are the key points regarding the exam pattern –

• IBPS RRB Office Assistant is an exam of total 80 marks.
• There will be 2 sections Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability, each will be of 40 marks. There is no English Language section.
• There is no sectional timing for the individual sections in the exam. The total time for the prelims exam is 45 minutes.
• There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
• Candidates will be selected on the basis of sectional and overall cutoff in the Prelims exam.

• Do not forget to revise what you have learned. Try to revise each and every day. Otherwise, you will forget what you have learnt the previous day. In your timetable give some time for revision. It will help you retain what you have learned before. For such a short period of time, I will suggest to keep yourself away from all the work and focus your concentration solely for revision. • Once you are through with the basics of topics mentioned above, you must move on to a full-fledged mock test mode. Mock Test is the most important factor to clear the examination. It makes you well acquainted with the interface and flow of the exam. Also, it is the best way to analyze your exam preparation and revise it effectively. Numerical Ability 

• The difficulty level of this section is expected to be easy-moderate.
• Simplification/ Approximation, Data Interpretation, and Number Series are the most scoring topics for this section.
• In data interpretation topic, there is a possibility of Tabular Chart, Bar Graph, Line Graph or Pie chart DI topics
• In Miscellaneous Arithmetic Topics, questions can be asked from the topics of Ratio & Proportion, average, profit, and loss, percentage, partnership, problems based on ages, time & speed, time & work, and Boat & stream.

How to prepare for this Section

• Daily 3 hours of preparation for this section is needed.
• Understand the basics and concepts thoroughly. You can go through the study notes on each topic provided by gradeup or refer a good book for covering the basics It will help you to group the concepts in order to solve the questions daily.
• Read each topic and switch topics in between to keep your interest in the topics. 
• Understand the short tricks to find square, cube, square root and cube root in minimum time.
• Learn the conversion of fractions to percentage from ½ to 1/20. It will help you in calculations and save your precious time in the exam.

Reasoning Ability

• The difficulty level of this section is expected to be a Moderate level.
• Inequality, Syllogism, Puzzles and Seating Arrangement are expected to be the most important topics for this section.

How to prepare for this Section

• Devote 2 hours to this section daily. First, complete the topics which are important and have more weight age in the examination and then move on to the less important topics.
• Try to understand the concept of each topic one by one. Don’t rush through all the topics at once. Learn the basics and tricks in each of the topics.
• Learn the basics by studying thoroughly from the chapter wise notes provided by us or from reference books. This will help you grasp the concepts and will help you in solving the questions.
• Improve accuracy and speed. Try to practice as much as possible. This will only help you increase your speed and accuracy.
