Getting into Indian Armed Forces is an extraordinary dream that requires extraordinary efforts. There are a lot of inspirational stories & personalities around, one of such personalities is Group Capt Sanjeev Bedi. From a common commerce graduate, he went on to serve as Fighter Pilot for 28 Years in IAF. He was commissioned into the Fighter Stream of IAF in 1981 and during his career he flew various Fighter and trainer aircraft on the inventory of IAF for more than 4500 successful  flying hours. He commanded a MIG – 27 Squadron in the Western Sector. The Squadron was deployed at Frontlines bases for an extended duration immediately following the Terrorist attack on Indian Parliament. He has also been a member of the Prestigious Suryakiran team, the aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force. Not only this, he is also a Category “A” flying instructor and was the Chief flying instructor at the Flying Instructor's School of Indian Air Force.

After taking a Voluntary retirement, he started his corporate career with Punj Lloyd Ltd in 2009 where he was involved in setting up the Aerospace Defence business and he also headed other aviation companies. He played a vital role in setting up the general aviation MRO at IGI airport, New Delhi. 

Currently, he is engaged with RL Steels and Energy Ltd as VP – Defence, heading the defence business for the group.
